Muse analysis: Vengeful or Forgiving?

inspiration from Velvet Crowe, AOT S4 Jean’s character development

If someone Lightning is close with is murdered, she would be leaning towards the vengeful side. I imagine this in the XIII Lightning - Go above and beyond to find whom ever is responsible. To take advantage of others in order to bring her closer to her goal. However, XIII-2 or Savior Light version would make the sides quarrel. Death of someone she is close with would surface the vindictive spirit however she let the vengeful energy consume her, not only her will be lost, but the world also. The weight that crushes her of desiring justice, but to also fulfill her role. She believes that there must be some redemption to be made, but to kill must be avoided. She cannot afford to be vengeful at all. And if emotions get the better of her, it will hinder everything. The dreadful thought that she will lift others from oblivion, but not herself.
