Why do you all ask for more things about Will if you're just going to do whatever you want, changing his nationality, gender, skin color, and all that? (If you need to change everything about the character to identify with him or empathize with him, then you don't identify with him. Unless this is a fetish, which is worse.) If he were Mexican, had hearing problems, or were trans, Rick would have mentioned it a thousand times because he always does.
If Will were trans, he wouldn't have appeared shirtless in TOA. It doesn't say he uses something for his breasts, it doesn't say he has scars (an operation that's not advisable for minors), no. He appears shirtless, and you can clearly see he has a tattoo. If he were trans, they would have even published it, like this new book.
It's really annoying because many people accuse you of being transphobic just for not sharing the headcanon, when not everyone has a reason to have that headcanon. If I say that for me he's cis on my own profile, I get attacked for not considering him trans.
i promise you there are not people ACTIVELY attacking others for not thinking a character is trans. and even IF that was the case it will never be on the same level as the hatred trans people experience. last time i got called a fucking tranny on several occasions so do not try to play victim because I share a harmless headcanon because you’ll just look dumb.
as i said this is a HEADCANON. i like the canon character, i’ve even EXPLICITLY STATED in other posts that I love any version of Will Solace because the fact he’s trans/cis or any race/ethnicity does not affect the original content we get. it just adds to it
i don’t want people to be fucking dumb and accuse me of shit like fetishization when it’s something as simple as representation and harmless headcanons. especially not in today’s day and age where the white house is talking about taking down ‘radically pro-transgender’ individuals and where POC and other minorities are still being harmed
