happy valentines day? {Eunji & Jae}
Walking to work, Jaehyun couldnât help but sigh as he walked through the crowd of couples on the street. He didnât care that he didnât have any one special to share the occasion but he hated how slow they walked, so carefree. Some people need to get to work. He once had to limbo under a coupleâs arms just to get around them. He was actually excited to work. He normally worked weekends as well as every day of the week since he needed the money but their boss promised them extra pay for working Valentineâs Day. She was desperate since most people didnât want to come in but that was the opposite for Jaehyun.
He finally walked into the shop with two minutes to spare. Greeted by his usual, weekend coworker, Eunji, a wide smile quickly swept across his face. âHey, Eunji! Happy Valentineâs Day.â He greeted as he went to punch in and hang up his jacket for his apron. âWelcome,â he quickly said as a few people entered the building. He rushed over to the other register to help Eunji with the sudden rush. Jae was rather distracted with the man, Eunji was dealing with. The stupid smirk on his face irked the vibrant haired boy. He tried to concentrate on the people at his register, which was hard because the weird flirting going on beside him. Luckily their order was easy so he quickly collected their money, gave them a buzzer and sent to go take a seat. Glancing at Eunji, he noted her plea before stepping beside her. âExcuse me sir, is there anything you want? Our Eunji here is unfortunately not on the menu. If you donât wish to order something, then please leave. Youâre holding up the line.â Jaehyun bluntly stated. He had no tolerance for people like him. Eunji was a sweet girl so Jae couldnât help but want to save her from stupid people like the male before them. The man clicked his tongue, telling Jae to stay out of it. It was obvious the other was rather ticked off that he had stepped in. Pointing to the line forming behind him Jae continued, âI canât stay out of it when youâre holding up the line.âÂ
Eunji hated this so called holiday. But thatâs because sheâs basically been single everytime it rolls around, a guy tends to lose feelings for her right before Valentineâs Day. It normally doesnât bother her but seeing all of these couples walking outside of the shop started to sting a little bit, thought she would probably just end up buy herself something for this âspecialâ occasion, just as she normally does. The girl wasnât having the best time watching them, so she was just really glad that she had customers to distract her.
But this one wasnât so sweet, she just rolled her eyes at the male until he started making unwanted comments, kind of scaring her, she didnât know what to say, she never got this kind of attention she didnât really know how to act. When she looked to Jae for help, what he said put a smile on her face. Eunji just listened to conversation. âPlease sir, if you actually donât want something, please step out of the line.â She said, passive agressively. The guy wouldnât budge, which is what scared her the most. Eunji looked at the line behind him. âCan I help whoever is next?â She asked kindly but the guy slammed he hand on the counter, he told her that she was helping him. The girl flinched, scared of the sound. âI- Jae, Iâll go get the manager..â Eunji ran to the back of the store in attempt to find the manager, quickly succeeding but she was told to go back there. This enraged the girl, she ran back to the front to see an angry line of people behind the still really angry customer. Eunji really tried to ignore him but her attempts didn't seem to work out very well. She had no clue what to do.
