Spyros Voulgaris Ministries - May 2014 update

Dear partners, friends and family in Christ  I trust this finds you well and prosperous in every area of your life. It has been a great month with a lot of things taking place and yes God is doing something great among of us. We are so thankful and grateful to God for what He is doing and for the wonderful people he has entrusted me with. Thank you each one of you for everything you have done and continue to do for me personally and for my people. Your prayers, your love and support are doing a great impact. I love you and appreciate you deeply.

                     Pastor Mario & Stacy Latini at Rhema

                          It is such an honor and always a great joy for us to have with us pastor Mario & Stacy Latini. They were here with us for a couple of weekends teaching in Rhema and doing a great job. We love them very much and they are so dear to us. The have been living in Greece before and they have left a good name and a great legacy.

While they were here they organized a Domata Reunion in Logos Church where he encouraged the graduates to stay connected with Rhema as he himself is a Rhema Graduate. What a wonderful and blessed time we had.

                                          We are so proud of our students who did an excellent job.

We received wonderful feedback from the Head usher of the event saying that their service was amazing.

This makes our heart so happy and we look forward to see them as they graduate to walk each of them towards their God given destination.

We believe that there is a wonderful and bright future for each of them and that God is going to do wonderful things in them and through them.

                                                                                          Pastor's Round Table                              

For a long time it has been in Pastor's Spyros heart to have a round table with pastors where they can have not only fellowship and meet in the sense of a meeting or a conference, but where they can open their hearts about different issues they face in the ministry.

Many times we are so isolated in the busy work of the ministry that we forget that God has brought us together in the same path wonderful ministers, with much wisdom and experience in issues that we might face too.  It was a wonderful meeting. It seemed like this was something that everyone needed. It was a good start in opening up with each- other. Questions were put on the table and every one started giving an input based on their experience but also sharing what they face themselves in the ministry.

    Marriage Seminar

                             We had a wonderful marriage Seminar with pastor Mario and Stacy where they do a great job. The way they do the seminar is very unique and very interactive. We had people come from other churches too and every body enjoyed it so much. Pastor Spyros heart is to invest in couples and their marriages especially in these times where everything shakes, but when a family is strong and stands in solid foundations there is nothing that can knock it down.  

      Broadcasting through internet We also are so excited that  broadcasting has been such a blessing to the people who have been watching us online. We have been receiving wonderful feedback and people have been watching us from different places of Greece, albania, Cyprus, Germany, USA,  and nations as well.  Our heart is that if people are not able to come to church or they do not know about the church, we will take the church to them. We believe that this is a great tool in nowdays.

  The Prayer of the Saints avails much!

    We continue to pray for Greece! Situation continues in the natural to be challenging and people face many hard situations.

We pray and stand that Greece will not go under and that people will come into the knowledge of Christ and that this crises will bring lifechanging opportunities. Your prayers are highly appreciated!  

   Greater Europe Book Project     

      We continue to work on the translation and the publishing of books. Pastor Spyros is determined in translating as many books as he can not only in Greek but also in other languages.

We would appreciate if you join your faith & believe with us for provision and people to help in this very big and vital project.

  "Light for the nations" a "Helpers Church"

  We are so grateful and so excited about what God is doing in the church in Korce in Albania " Light for the Nations" a Helpers Church.

  They are growing so fast and it is amazing to see all the wonderful work, to hear how God is doing amazing things in their midst.We receive wonderful testimonies about how the Holy Ghost is working with them.

  We would appreciate you join your faith and prayers with ours for these young people who are on fire for God.

        We are so excited and so proud of our leaders who were able to walk all the way and accomplished Volume 1 in Thessaloniki.

We had our graduation this month and it went great. Our wonderful trainers brother Skip Ross and Steve Miller did a remarkable job. Thank you so much, we appreciate all you have done for our country. We also would like to specially thank from the bottom of our heart Pastor Paul Demitriades and his team who did a remarkable job. Thank you so much Pastor Paul for everything you did and continue to do for Equip, thank you for your support and your wonderful heart of service. We appreciate you and your team deeply.

We had leaders come all the way from Rumania and who were reached for Christ through Equip for the 1st time. This is our heart to reach leaders from every realm for Christ and transform them, equip them

and so that they can reach each of them their

world.  Also  Equip Athens and Equip Thessaloniki with the 1st Notebook of Volume 2 will take place this fall. For further details we will inform as time gets closer. We thank also each one of you for your prayers, your love your help and anything you did and do so that EQUIP GREECE would  be a huge blessing to this country. We appreciate it. It's wonderful to work with great people like you.

  Dear partners, friends and family in Christ  I trust this finds you well and prosperous in every area of your life. It has been a great month for me as I had the joy and the privilege to be in WBS. It was such a Seminar. What a powerful and rich legacy we have inherited! What a great family we are part of! Thank you Pastor Hagin and Mrs Lynette for all you have done for us and for making us feel home. Thank you each one of you who made this Seminar so special. It was amazing to see everyone be back at where our lives were transformed and impacted once for ever. I love you all and appreciate everything you did. I thank God for the wonderful time I spent with my dear and precious brothers and sisters in the Lord. I had the opportunity to meet many of them and it is always a great joy and honor for me. I was so honored to visit my precious Brother and Friend Pastor Massud & Zoreh and their wonderful congregations. Thank you so much for what you did for me and for treating me as a King. I was thrilled to see the wonderful work you are doing and get to meet your so precious congregation.

I want also to Thank Faby and Julio Gury (Bruna's sister and brother) for the great hospitality ofered to me. I had two wonderful weeks with my precious ones and the opportunity to see and hear many great things God does to them and through them. I love you both little ones Faby and Gury. I came back a few days ago and now I am getting ready for the 1st wedding in our church and I am so excited. Bruna will update you more on what has been taking place this month.

  Trip to Seattle and Vancover with his Iranian friends!

    There are no words to express the joy and the honor that Pastor Spyros felt when visiting Pastor Massud & Zoreh, their beautiful family and the 2 churches where they pastor. Pastor Massud & Zoreh come from Iran and they graduated together 2006 from Rhema US. Pastor Spyros has been and continues to pray for Iran as it has been in his heart for a long time now. He considered this reunion with his friendfs as a gift from God. While sharing about this trip he spoke about how Pastor Massud, Zoreh and their wonderful family have such a heart for their nation and how they are doing an amazing job with their folks. He was so touched to see them with their kids work in the ministry, by all these amazing testimonies and by the passion that their people had for the things of God. They are satelliting straight to Iran leading people to Christ and also ministering through landline to people. Amazing stories of how God has been moving among them.

One of the testimonies that had touched his heart while he was there was the fact that  how a young gangster Iranian guy had accepted Christ and on his birthday he invited all his gangs to church for his birthday to witness to them about Christ.   God is doing something wonderful in that region and we continue to pray for Iran. Again thank you so much Pastor Massud & Zoreh for everything you did for our Pastor and for treating him like a King. You are amazing leaders, Pastors and friends to him.  

  Our Fabjana the New American!

                                                                                                                                                  Pastor Spyros was so thrilled and honored to be present as his little one was becoming officially an American citizen. She was part of his youth group when he was a youth pastor and at her sixteen years old she was a team leader doing an amazing job. She is an amazing woman of faith and he/we are so proud of the lady she has become. God has honored us with her and we are looking forward to see all that God has in store for her and her family. Keep going Fabjana and the best is yet to come. He also had the opportunity now that he was in Tulsa to stay at her house with her and my brother Julio and Pastor Spyros did not cease speaking about how they treated him like a King. He enjoyed his time with them so much and we praise God to see the change and the growth that has taken place in them. We believe that wonderful and amazing things are on their way. Thank you Fabjana and Julio for everything you did for our Pastor while he was there and for making his time so special. He loves you guys so much.  

  Our Precious students!

    It has been amazing to see the transformation that has taken place in the life of our students. During this month we had a course on Childrens ministry and the students had to prepare a drama in less than an hour. It was amazing to see the anointing and the passion they had while doing it. Different personalities, different backgrounds and from different nation yet one family. They did an amazing job and there are no words to express the gratitude to God and how thrilled we are of the work that the Lord has been doing in them. God is on the move and he is raising a new generation, an army for his glory. Tramp Tramp Tramp!

    A Rhema student on mission

Her name is Roselia, a Philipino Pastor and she is one of our first year students. Last week she was in a Greek Island where she was invited to minister to a catholic Philipino congregation. She shared with us how wonderful it was to share the word of faith to those people. This has been her second time to minister there and she said that this time I took with me all the notes that I have taken in Rhema as I wanted to give everything.Their life is being touched and she was invited to go and minister again to them. She said even though it was very expensive to go there especially in the times we are leaving but I know I have what it takes to make a difference. The message of faith and hope in Christ and it was all worth it! We are  so proud of our students, of these heroes of faith where they keep going even when ever thing around says you cant!

   When Pastor Spyros was in the States we had the opportunity to have some of the men of our church minister. Even though Pastor Spyros was not here he has done such a great job that the church is in such a good hands. God has blessed us with wonderful and anointed men of God. Our prayer is that God will raise leaders, pastors in the midst of us who will take their place and be sent into the field. Our vision is to open new churches and God has blessed us with wonderful people who love God.  

Our Big Day - The first wedding in our Church!

  In 16 days from now on the 15th of March we will have the great honor and joy to join our lives forever. It has been a wonderful journey and the preparation time quite an amazing adventure where God has been faithful in everything. God has been so good to us and our wedding has overwhelmed with joy all our church family. In every corner of the church you go and in every discussion you are, everything is about our big day. Between dresses and jewelleries, prayers and laughs the love of our church family has stolen our hearts. They have been supporting us and helping us in anything we needed. What touches our heart the most is that the one who is doing the marriage is the person that God has brought in our lives and has invested in us so much. It is such an honor for us to have Pastor Spyros marry us who is not just a pastor for both of us, but a real Father. We grew up in his hands, in all our journey he has been on our side, and now he marries his children. What a wonderful feeling!

Thank you Pastor Spyros for everything you have done and for helping and investing in us to become who we are. We look forward also to have with us all our family from USA, Albania, Sweden and Germany come in our big day. We would like to thank also each one of you for your love, your prayers and your support which we have truly felt on our journey toward a lifetime together. We love you and we wish we had you all with us!

        The Body of Christ the light of - Greece

Christ is the Hope!

  Greece is still facing huge challenges. It is unbelievable to see how people's lives have been affected by the crises. What hurts your heart the most is the despair of the youth and also the couples. Youth is in total despair with no vision and trying to hang on to something solid. The wages have gone so low around 300 Euros that it is hard to live upon that amount. Also crises have caused crises in the families too. You hear about a husband trying to immigrate in another state to find a better future. We though the body of Christ are here on a purpose and for a purpose and Greece will not go under but we believe that this land will flourish like never before  by the power of the Gospel. Here is the land that the righteous of the Lord live and the word says that where ever we put our foot on it belongs to us. We are standing and claiming Greece for Christ. We believe that we are here for a time such as this and that  Christ is the answer, the hope, the solution and the way out from crises . Your support and your prayers are highly appreciated.

   Greater Europe Book Project     

   Greece is one of 30 European countries that is part of the Greater Europe Book Project.

We are going to reach more than 700 million people who live in the Europe neighborhood. Plus many of these books can go into other parts of the world where the same languages are spoken.

We continue to work on the translation of more books so that by the end of the year we will have 10 titles ready.

    MORE BOOKS IN GREEK LANGUAGE ARE COMING

  We continue to work on translating more books.Soon we are going to print " Faith" and "Prayer" bible study course.

  We have in our heart to translate books into the Albanian language and also in other languages and we are believing for provision to do so.

    It is so wonderful every time we receive news and feed back from the church in Korce. It is so encouraging to read their testimonies. Pastor Marsel and the leader's team are doing an amazing and remarkable job. This is a children's team doing worship and one guy from their youth named Kristi who is 15 years old has such a heart for his friends and the children that he invites them home or he sits at the stairs of his building with them sharing the love of Christ with the kids. His dream and his heart is to become a Pastor and it is so amazing to see the passion they have for the things of God.We are so proud of them and so excited about what God is doing in their midst.  We would appreciate you join your faith and prayers with ours for these young on fire for God people.

        Lack of true Leadership have taken the nation in these crises.

Greece needs Equip so much and we want to do the best for our leaders taking them to a new level and biblical model of Leadership.

We are so excited about our next Equip in Thessaloniki where we are going to have our graduation for those who have attended all the Notebooks of Volume 1.We believe it is going to be an amazing seminar and also we look forward to the time with our amazing trainers Br. Skip Ross & Steve Miller. The Equip Thessaloniki conference will be the 2nd & 3rd of May. Also on May we are going to start in Equip Athens with the 1st Notebook of Volume 2 and we are so excited because it is a fantastic Material which really takes you in other dimensions. We thank God for our Trainers Pastor Steve & Pastor George for Equip Athens who did a remarkable job in Volume 1. Thank you all for the wonderful work you have done and continue to do.

Dear partners, friends and family in Christ.

I greet you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I would like to start by apologizing for not being so present and not being able to update you with the latest news.

The reason is that there have been so many things going on and I did not have someone at the office that could help me with this.

Now I have Bruna working full time in the ministry as my administrator and things are going to be better as she is going to be of a great help for me.

Even though, I might have not been present I want you to know that there hasn’t been a single moment where you have ceased to be part of my prayer life, of my gratitude towards my Father in heaven as you have been and you are  a gift from Him to me personally and also to the body of Christ in Greece and to the nations who God called me.

Rhema Greece June 8th held its inaugural graduation.  Chairs for 550 were in place. But 15 minutes after the ballroom doors opened, it became clear that more seats were needed. Eventually, 760 people filled the room.

There are no words to express the joy that we all had to have Pastor Kenneth & Mrs.Lynette Hagin together with their wonderful team attend the graduation and hand out the diplomas to the students. Once the service started, tears began to flow and voices rang in laughter as the 19 charter-class graduates walked across the stage, shoulders back and heads held high, to receive their diplomas.  Also a great joy and honor for us was to have pastor John & Michelle Grunewald and Monika Wagner join us at this great event for us. Pastors together with their wife came all the way from Albania and Bulgaria.

The new school year started this September and we are thrilled with joy to see the students despite the financial challenges they face, be every day  in school and fight the good fight of faith. Please support them with your prayers that they will experience great miracles during the school year.

Being the pastor of Logos Church has filled my heart with joy, love, appreciation, and great anticipation for what God has in store for us. We have seen great and wonderful things happening as whatever God does is always wonderful.

Pastoring the church of Christ and to see the church of God grow from a home church to renting its own building has been one of the most blessed and challenging periods of my life.  We have just closed our 2nd year in the building and despite the big challenges Greece is facing  God has been faithful to us in every step.

As church we are doing our best to be there to help them in any area we can. 

                                                       We believe we are here for a time such as this.

Greece has never faced before a time such as this that we are living in these days. You hear people running out of food, no money for gasoline, jobs being lost, riots and strikes which make it so difficult for the ones that have a job have no way how to get to their jobs. Also the ones that have a salary it has been decreased to almost half of it because of the crises.

I remember, one day as I was going to visit a family, I received a phone call from a 65 years old lady where she was asking for food as she had run out of it. She was in such a panic not only for today but for what tomorrow holds. We as a church have been reaching people providing food and the necessary things to live and also bringing the Hope & the Love of Christ to them.

Even though our people are facing great challenges, we try to stand in the arena of faith. One of our members has not been working for months and he and his wife are waiting their baby miracle to come next month but they are not giving up or giving into the situation but rather stand and believe.

  Greater Europe

Book Project

Greece is one of 30 Europian countries that is part of the Greater Europe Book Project.

When man is willing to do what seems to be impossible it always touches God's heart. How much money is needed for this project?  Probably around 5 million Euros or $6.4 million (25 books for 30 European countries to reach 700 million people). We are going to reach more than 700 million people who live in this neighborhood. Plus many of these books can go into other parts of the world where the same languages are spoken.

By the grace of God we had the privilege to translate and publish into Greek language 11 books (two were revised) from Faith Library.

We need more books of a balanced and anointed teaching from brother Hagin and Pastor Hagin translated into Greek.  We would ask you, prayerfully consider the possibility to partner with us for the Book Project of Greece.

THE HELLPERS INTERNATIONAL

Great things have been going on.

This summer we were in Albania for the second time, where we met with some wonderful pastors and where we also had the opportunity to minister.

A month ago I was in a meeting with key Leaders from the Middle East in Turkey and it was one of those life changing trips.

God has put in my heart Turkey, Albania, Bulgaria, Egypt, Pakistan Balkans and Middle East.

Thank you for being part of what is taking place. Alone I would not be able to reach many but together we are reaching nations.

Equip Greece is growing and we are excited about it. Right now it is taking place in Athens and Thessaloniki.

Many leaders and businessmen attended the seminar and the feedback that we received from them exceeded our expectations.

We believe in strong Leadership based in scriptural principles.

When you reach a Leader for Christ, once he is changed you can impact the nation. Pastors Steve Hickey, George Rigos, David Branker & brother Skip Ross have been doing a great and remarkable job.

They are a great blessing to Greece and we are so thankful for having them in our lives.

We need Partners to come along side with us

We believe that we are here for such a time and we want to win Greece for Christ.

We want to feed the poor, to comfort the broken, to support and give hope to the homeless.

I know in my heart that whatever is taking place & that God is moving is because of you believing in us and with us, because of your prayers, your love & your support and together we can make the difference.

This nation has never ever been in a greater need than this time for prayer warriors, people that love beyond the distance, reach beyond limits, sow beyond the unseen and stand in faith for the change of a nation that cries out I NEED JESUS.
