Watson and Holmes
How it feels when i see a tweet about sherlock being like "omg why do people headcanon this" and its something that is explained in the books
made a meme which I totally agree😁😁😁
Non-ironically you always find the most respectfully represented queer characters in 19th century literature.
the fact that Jeremy Brett played both Dorian Gray and Basil Hallward AND both John Watson and Sherlock Holmes throughout his career. he has the range.
The German commentators calling Duqueine 'The team with Doriane Pin' or the 'Dorinae Pin Team' is so funny to me.
The first night without you by my side.
Ryutaro!
Okay I knew Holmes gave up cocaine rather obviously in Granada because it turned out the show had a serious children's audience, but nobody told me he BURIED HIS HYPODERMIC NEEDLE ON THE FUCKING BEACH
Good job Sherly I'm sure that won't teach the kids any terrible habits.
Am watching The Devil's Foot episode of Granada Sherlock Holmes and so much happens in this one.
Holmes and Watson go on a holiday in Cornwall because Holmes is, as Watson says, nearing a complete breakdown if he doesn't rest. As soon as they get to the cottage and Watson is out of the room, Holmes sets up his cocaine injection, then tries (entirely unsuccessfully, and he knows it) to hide it when Watson comes back unexpectedly.
Holmes goes for lots of long walks by himself and on one of them, tips out his bottle of cocaine onto the beach and buries it with the needle. (I don't know what the correct way to dispose of needles was in the 1890s but I don't it's think it's seaside burial.)
Holmes is intermittently wrapped in the same blanket from The Musgrave Ritual.
Of course a mystery appears, and Watson spends about five minutes trying to convince Holmes to rest and let the police handle it before he, too, becomes distracted by curiosity for the mystery.
Holmes does an ill-advised experiment with poison and has a bad trip which mostly serves to remind that this show was made in the '80s. When he returns to lucidity, he calls Watson "John."
Holmes has a nice chat with the still-living murder (who murdered the other murderer to revenge those murders) and lets him go scot free, with Watson's mildly disapproving face hovering in the background.
haven't drawn this guy in way too long
