Hey Emma! Do you have any tips on how to stay ahead of your school work? Like constantly revising class work everyday etc? Thank you!!â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
Hello! Here are a couple of things to do:
set a review day - set yourself a day to review and plan out each week. I would recommend Sundays! On this day, look at the past week and see what you accomplished and what you didnât. This can help see where your productivity lacks and what you can change. Then move on to planning out what is up coming during the week.
read material beforehand - if you have a textbook that you can look at before your classes, have a read through it. If you can, highlight and make summary notes on post it notes (forces you to be brief!). By understanding - a bit or fully - the topics before you go to class will help consolidate the information rather than learning something entirely new.
review your notes - once the class is finished or once youâre home, look over your notes. Again, use a highlighter or post-it note to mark out the key information. Alternatively, you could use a flashcard to summarise. With flashcards, you can do one each class and then you actively reviewed the lesson and have created a study option for later.
prioritise the next due - youâll most like have homework and tasks to complete so my recommendation is do them in order of priority or when theyâre due. Instead of leaving something till last minute, get on with it so it is done!
utilise the weekend - on a Friday night write down things that you want to get down. These two days give you some extra time to catch up and get ahead. I donât recommend dedicating the entirety of the weekend to studying, remember having a break is really important!!
donât procrastinate - easier said than done, right!? However, I have recently written this post that might give you a few tips of beating it!
remove distractions - this post gives my top tips on focusing!
Hope this helps :-)
Guess who was very blessed last night when scrolling on her YouTubeâs random timeline then found this motivating video? âHow to Get Ahead in School // tipsâ by Brian from studywithinspo (@studywithinspo) really helps me to sort out what I should do with the next semâs new challenge, ha-ha. Help yourself too!
Hello: A Preface
Hi, everyone! My name is Eva and I am a 20-years-old student of department of English Literature year 15. Pleased to meet you all!
I decided to open up a blog after I wandered on this Internet-sphere for a long time. I have always been a passive audience who mostly stuck on motivational posts regarding school stuffs. Thanks to those inspiring bloggers (which I soon discovered their name were âstudyblrâ) I began to see the core of studying, and how to study & organize effectively. Not just that but also Iâve gained a lot of strength during my up&downs during the years!
Therefore, Iâd like to inspire people with my experience too. Though the motto of this blog is âidle lifeâ, but in the process of changing my âidleâ life into a âproductiveâ life I have added much to my milestone. Just like those inspiring people, I hope by opening up this account and sharing my knowledge ranged from academic topic into lifestyle topic can be a motivation for people too.
At some moment I may not be really productive (I am a true procastinator at heart) so thatâs why I will need your help. Hit me up on the âASK ME ANYTHINGâ section and drop off your words: cheering message, asking about random stuff (I would not mind it at all), e.t.c., I will really appreciate them all.
By the way, I am thinking of creating an account on Instagram and YouTube too, but I need to figure out on how running this blog first with creative content. Please anticipate, he-he!
That has been from me who is excitedly waiting for your friendship call. May this new start of me become a great one!
P.s: greeting to all my Moslem folks, happy Eid Mubarak!
