Evan served as co-CEO of Pabst Brewing Company after the firm acquired the company best known for producing Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR) beer and several other regional brands in 2010. He supervised the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies in addition to new product innovation, complementary acquisitions and internal growth. His work lead to the popularity of PBR – and other regional brands – skyrocketing within a few short years, and leading to the sale of the company for over $700 million in 2014. Previously, Evan worked alongside his father, Dean, and brother, Daren, to revitalize numerous classic American brands that are rooted in popular culture through innovative marketing initiatives. He helped spearhead the resurgence of brands such as Aunt Jemima, Duncan Hines and Log Cabin, contributing to a successful restructuring of a bankrupt food products supplier, renamed Pinnacle Foods. For International Home Foods’ brands including Chef Boyardee, Gulden’s Mustard and Hungry Man, he effectively tapped into pop culture assets, celebrity figures and sports and entertainment properties, including the WWE and NFL, to develop fresh and relevant marketing campaigns. Both of these efforts led to sales upward of $2 billion. In addition to lecturing on business and marketing topics at Cornell University and his alma matter, the University of Connecticut, he has been quoted in numerous major media outlets.

Utz Quality Foods Inc. of Hanover, Penn. has raised an undisclosed amount of private equity funding from Metropoulos & Co., representing the first outside investment ever in the 95 year-old maker of potato chips and other snack foods.

Metropoulos & Co., which brought Hostess Brands out of liquidation three years ago, is the first outside investor in Utz Quality Foods Inc., which makes potato chips, pretzels and cheese snacks under several brands.
