trust that everything will fall into place without you forcing it there.
Isn’t dating just friendship with more time and emotions invested?
Like… does no one actually know how to be a friend?
Keep a friend?
Do they even want a friend?
I like what we have in common.
I like what we don’t have in common.
I like the twinkle in your eyes when you’re focused on me.
I like how you blush when you notice me watching you.
I like the way you solve problems.
I like the way you step back to reflect.
I like the way you lead.
I like how you rest on me.
I like when you comfort me.
I like to comfort you.
I like how you catch my every word.
I like your stories.
I like annoying you.
I like you.
Apparently, I can control the effort of getting someone who actually wants me back.
This whole system runs on hope, faith, and a gut feeling.
Can I please have the instruction manual, for God’s sake!
Others understanding and knowing better still doesn’t change the fact that it hurts.
I can process it, unpack it, name it, but pain doesn’t just disappear with clarity.
It lingers. It echoes. It repeats.
Clearly, the people before me didn’t solve this.
They survived it, maybe.
They passed it down, definitely.
And while I carry the weight of that inheritance,
I will not contribute to the continuation of that pain.
Even if I can’t end the cycle, I won’t be the reason it deepens.
If I was doing bad during the dating app era...
AI era has me cooked.
I have the space, the capacity, and the desire to invest in something real.
My proof lives in how I amplify, hold, nurture, and love.
I do not perform or repeat myself to satisfy you.
I love, and I reflect on what it means for me to stand beside you.
You could break me.
Maybe that’s the risk.
But the one meant for me will hold the pieces,
even as they chip away,
placing new gems and fragments from their own life into the cracks.
Sometimes I’m aware of the quiet, the ache, the space I take up. Other times, I drown in distractions just to hear something louder than my own thoughts. Noise is easier than truth.
It’s strange to know I’d be mourned if I were gone, yet I still go untouched. Unheld. Unseen. Grief might show up for me after death, but comfort rarely does while I’m alive.
And that’s the part no one really talks about.
I could’ve scammed them, but I’d rather haunt them. Seemingly sweet and slow, the kind of silence they replay at 2AM, wondering how they fumbled something that never begged to be held.
I have nothing against men with goals. I actually respect ambition.
But I won’t be a placeholder while someone "figures it out." I’m a genuine friend, a deep lover, and loyal by nature. Qualities that seem undervalued these days, but I hold them sacred.
I’ve spent a lot of time harvesting my own energy, and I won’t let it be drained by someone who isn’t sure how to pour back in.
Into depth, not dopamine. If you're just here for vibes, go find someone easier to forget.
If every goodbye teaches me something, why do I still forget how to let go?
How much momentary happiness do I endure until I find one that stays?
Heartbreak Has No Time
There is no set amount of time on your heart healing. Some heal faster then others. The important part is what you learned from the heartbreak. I learned to protect my self for next time. Could be hyper fixation on “predictable” patterns or over thinking a situation so much until the negative is reality. The protection works well over a course of time. Then I take on more situations, more risk, more delusional thoughts to keep me involved. Revealing my heart in the process. Soon my heart is bare for the blow. Into a million pieces wondering why I let my protection go. Feeling hurt, bare, embarrassed to be in such a situation I’ve been avoiding for the longest. I want to be comfortable in exposing myself. As scary being vulnerable can be, doing so is the best feeling in loving myself.
