Alright, so when it comes to girls, the first rule is "Don't take rejection personally." Don't get mad or upset when they tell you no.

Second rule is "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." So basically, you won't get anywhere without talking to them. Often, the first way to start a conversation is to comment/compliment either an accessory of theirs or one of their interests, letting the girl continue the conversation about something she cares about. Shows you care.

It also helps to be honest. Saying "Hey, I really do want to get to know you." Can go a long way with girls.

Someone shared this with me when I asked how i should talk to girls or approach them... Because I'm really bad at it....

So is there anyone who wants to add some more in it ??

I hate when I complain about how im single but then I have really picky taste 😕 like whenever I have been like ‘offered’(I can’t find the right word rn) or like given the opportunity to date someone I also feel weird because like I know my type and it’s not them… I really just want a jon bernthal or lewis pullman lookalike to sweep me off my feet but maybe that’s too picky of me, oh well

Guys, I’ve been done dirty again…fem I was dating for a month posted sexy pictures on instagram and when I asked if we could be exclusive because of that she told me she posted them for a CIS MAN and that she PREFERRED him over me. I always think about how i will never be in a relationship. Its not that i don’t want one, its just the chance of me ACTUALLY getting into one is near impossible.

As a demiromantic and some kinda asexual individual I’ve always dreaded the thought of relationships, i have to know someone for YEARS before i could get a crush on them and theres always the possibility i don’t gain that crush. I cant fathom dating someone who doesn’t know me on a deep personal level, and i wouldn’t want to date someone who ONLY became friends with me to date me. I dont think ill ever meet that person.. i have a hard time even keeping friends when i make them, i just dont have the energy for anything.

We all know how the "must be able to lift 25 lbs" requirements on job applications are there to subtly exclude disabled people, make it so they cannot get reasonable accommodation without "changing the job description", right?

So tell me why it's so normal to put that you are "looking for a gym buddy" or pickleball partner or "someone to go hiking with" on dating apps?????

Because I'll tell you what it's not, normally. It's not usually a statement of the person's actual hobbies. They aren't going hiking every week, they aren't that into pickleball. Additionally, those are hobbies that you can do without a romantic partner.

But it is never framed as extra information about the person's interests, it is always about the "requirements" for their future partner.

So it acts in much the same way as that "lifting 25 lb" statement: a way to exclude and alienate disabled people. And fat people, for perception more than reality.

And that fucking sucks.
