i don't think anyone would see this, but i still think that writing a note would be appropriate. just doesn't feel right to leave this blog hanging hahah
it's been 4(?) years since Idol Producer was released, and the show & its trainees has left me with so many good memories. not many people i know irl even talk about it anymore, but the occasional activity that i receive from notifs still bring a smile to my face. I rarely keep up with news of Nine Percent nowadays, though I do hear about them from time to time.
Let me take the opportunity to say this: FUCK iQiyi. Nine Percent had SO much potential to grow, expand and even surpass some kpop bands out there, but the company just spent the entire contract twiddling thumbs and doing WHO knows WHAT. My boys are doing so much better in their individuals careers, but it still sucks to know that Nine Percent barely promoted as a group with all the fanfare they've gotten. Idk what's with the chinese industry and their music bands, but they really got to step up their game and look to a certain nearby country for pointers.
Also for my absolute bias, Yanjun!!! I recommend everyone to check out Crush (2021) if you're in the mood for something soft and light. It's such an adorable show and he had so much chemistry with his co-star. You can forget about checking out Fall In Love (2021) though. It absolutely sucked ass and did him no justice at all ;;u;;
