he should be accustomed to the way that his job was dangerous, but he and emmeline had gone on a case that was too long and evan, as always, had taken it too far to try and get to the truth of it, and st. mungo’s had become a friend of his when it had come down to it, after a while he had left and taken his injuries and case file and had gone to the place that he had known would be safe–it wasn’t 100% certain, ( what place would be) and he had known he had could have gone to rabastan, but it was more complicated than that–he found himself on rosalind’s door knocking once with case files on his hand and a weary heart in another. “i should’ve OWL’d,” he says as the beginning, “but this was the only place i knew where i could go,” it didn’t have to mean anything other for him to lay his head to rest, their relationship had been like this from the start, but he had always felt safe here. maybe that had always been the problem, but he had feelings for rosalind that he didn’t know how to deal with so he had pretended that they didn’t exist until it was time’s like now where he had showed up on her doorstep with a heart wide open.
