Post-Season/Series 05, pre-ST epilogue, POV Mike Wheeler, background henclair :), they spend two months in mutual misery and then mike confesses over a session, i like my byler MESSY, Miscommunication, i resent calling it that but that is in fact what it is, itās a little more complicated, Angst, Anxiety, gets close to a panic attack at one point, platonic wheelerson saves the day, small dustin POV ok i had to thatās my boy, Love Confessions, SUPER dramatic nerdy ones to be specific, First Kiss, Getting Together, platonic madwheeler angst and making up!!
Mike spends a month trying to put distance between him and Will, to let himself get over the feelings that will ruin them otherwise, but it backfires. Now Will is avoiding him, and the only time heās willingly in a room with Mike is class or a D&D session. And everyone else has his back. Mike canāt tell him the truth, not without four of their best friends hearing every second. But once he figures out what Will has been thinking this whole timeāitās time to throw all his remaining dignity out the window. Consequences be damned.

i can't express how absolutely important it is that when you make an edgy, brooding, badass character who's tough as nails and good at fighting and whatever, you HAVE to give them at least one reason to become completely helpless and pathetic. you have a panic attack quota to fulfill.
