        a leap SHOKE his entire body. every part of his being tried desperately to repress a yelp as hands grabbed wildly to catch the shadow of an object. uneasy fingertips shoved hands deep into leather pockets. hunched posture keeping rusted steel hidden in the dark.  he hadn’t expected -  he hadn’t - … eyes suddenly welling in the sudden realization of his intended actions. the FEAR of the thing. – yet, the hope of RELEASE. caught suddenly in an undefinable limbo.  head spinning, a sob choking back behind a discomforted stutter,  “ –  y-you F-F-FRIGHTENED me. ”

                concern  is etched into her features - she should be heading on home. delray would be mad that she’d come back so late, but the kid looked like he could use a friend. now, she wasn’t usually the one to volunteer as a friend for a skinny little white boy, but she wasn’t gonna just let him be on his own like that. especially not at this time of night. lord, let her be right in trusting that he’s a decent person. by the looks of him, he didn’t have a mean bone in his body. ❛  i, uh - sorry about that, sugar. but y’didn’t answer me - are you alright  ?
