MEME.☾   —   favorite moment from your muse’s canon, and why.

there are a lot ?   because i have like a few that i go back to when i’m having trouble with her characterization,   so i’m gonna narrow it down to the top two !   one of them is certainly the first impression we get of her at anna pavlovna’s soirée in the very beginning of the novel.   the way she is first described is like ?   very nice,   because you immediately are introduced to the repression of her emotions,   her usual mannerisms,   her dependence on others in regards to how she reacts to everything,   etc.   and it also allows me to easily contrast her first description to how she changes after her marriage to pierre !   the other is her fight with pierre after his duel with dolokhov,   because it’s one of the only times you see how awful her anger can be.   from what i’ve read,   it’s the only time i’ve seen her actually lash out at someone ?   which,   again,   helps me explore the repression of her emotions in public and how that impacts her in private.
