in which arc or year do you think luffy is drawn the best?
i respect the fact you sent me an ask despite the fact ive accidentally not updated this blog for well over a year. sorry everyone i got into horror podcast and mc pig.
anyway, to actually answer your question... i honestly don't know! i think i prefer pre-timeskip Luffy, bc i generally think its more fun when hes more noodley and less muscular...
dont get me wrong, im not opposed to muscular Luffy, esp since It Definitely Makes Sense for him to look strong, but i rlly enjoy the unsuspecting underdog thing pre-ts Luffy had going on
and like, wano's fun, the art's gorgeous, im rlly enjoying it, but every time Luffy takes his shirt off and hes fucking shredded im like who is this what have you done with my son. there are panels from the prison bit in wano where Luffy looks like his head has been photoshopped onto another person's body and it makes me feel insane
i DO rlly like the big fuckin X scar from post TS tho. scars improve character design 100%. like sabo designs where ppl give him like full body burn scars? top tier
but not like, too early pre-timeskip. some of the really early arcs everyone's ears are rlly far down their faces and im not a fan o that. like later pre-ts i suppose?
you know, i think my favorite Luffy might be 3d2y special Luffy? lean muscle rather than weirdly shredded. also, the jacket's fun, and i do love character designs with lots of bandages
might also be the fact that special had a slightly thicker line weight in its art style when compared to canon tho. love me some big black lines
