After three days of work, my overly-ambitious fanart for Capra by @liathgray​ is complete! I’m not 100% satisfied with the coloring, but it has enough cool aspects that I’m not kicking myself over it.

I had so much fun finally getting back to finishing her after months of putting her to the side.

I really love Noah a lot.

im watching the conqueror of shamballa movie and can somebody tell me why noah is belly dancing at alfons’s funeral

It’s flamenco dancing, not belly dancing. And it’s an odd little flourish of Spanish culture which I think they added in for stylistic reasons. From what I understand, the movie came out at a time when flamenco was a very big thing in Japan.

ACTUALLY, it’s a tradition of Romani groups to dance (and wear white) at funerals of loved ones. i blathered a bit about these tranditions in a post about Noah here, and you can read up on Romani mourning rites here and here.

note, this DOES vary per group and the religions practiced in each group. some Romani are Hindu or Muslim, some are Christian, etc.

but yeah, BONES actually did their research about Romani culture with regards to Alfons’ funeral.
