There’s a moment where you just stop, put down your camera, look up into the night’s sky and just say wow…

Remember to Vote!
Hello lovelies! School is a lot and I haven’t been able to keep this blog as active as I would like. I appreciate your continued patience and support.
I wanted to take a few moments just to urge you to vote (if you are an eligible Canadian voter) in the election on October 19th! If you are considering not voting because you think your one vote won’t change anything, think again! In the last election, the government was elected by a small percentage of voters. In fact, if “did not vote” was a political party, they would have a majority government!
Please check out the party platforms, or summaries of them, and even if you don’t agree completely with any of them, vote for the least bad option. If you are working on Election Day, your employer is legally obligated to give you time off to vote. You can find information on where to vote and what to bring here: http://www.elections.ca/home.aspx
The right to vote is something we are very lucky to have in Canada, as there are many places where not everyone is allowed to vote, or it is dangerous to speak out. Please please please please please exercise this right this coming Monday!!
And to everyone: have a great weekend and stay happy and healthy!

I’m so proud of us
Please come out today! We’ve been working so hard to make sure the Bronx shows our feelings surrounding this.
We will be handing out flyers, fact sheets, and information on how to take action.

Thanks to a high silica content, the “singing sands” at Basin Head sing or squeak when moved by the wind or walked on.

To mark the 25th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child we held a series of photography workshops for children in India. For most who participated, it was the first time they’d ever held a camera. See photos of India, through their eyes, on bbc.com: http://uni.cf/1yghpYE
