I want a merthur reunion in the future but like -

Merlin hasn't been back in Camelot since Arthur's death, so he doesn't even know Arthur is a ghost and Arthur never managed to find Merlin, although he did travel the entire world to find him until he decided Merlin would come back eventually.

One day, for fun, Merlin and a couple of his friends visit really old ruins (Camelot) and someone is like: could you Imagine if like, the ghost of King Arthur was here?

And Merlin is like: that's proposterous.

And then Arthur comes out of a room, half translucent and be like: the fuck are you intruding in my Kingdom, I - Merlin?

Merlin: ... Arthur?

Friends: *scream* hold up, you know him?

Arthur: I'm King Arthur, who is this pack of vagabonds and what the hell are they wearing? Also, Merlin, wtf? It really took you 15 centuries to come home? Are you serious?

Merlin: you were dead! In Avalon! What the hell are you doing here?

Arthur: waiting for you!
