answer me honestly do you find fulfillment/enjoy fanfics and books where the marquee relationship just doesnt solidify/stay together in the end despite being the focus of the story. no nuance

two caveats to this:
does not include books/fics with a love triangle/multiple relationships AKA person A and B dont stay together because A chooses person C instead. This is strictly talking about fics and books following a single A/B relationship that ends up either breaking up or deciding not to go steady/serious
'fulfillment/enjoyment' basically means you consider the book/fic having been worthwhile to read. for fanfics in specific, this means you arent upset it was tagged as the prominent relationship despite it not working out
