Concerning Arno Dorian’s birthday ...

It bothered me that almost every playable Assassin has an exact birthday stated, except for Arno:

Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad: 11 January 1165

Ezio Auditore da Firenze: 24 June 1459

Edward James Kenway: 10 March 1693

Aveline de Grandpré: 20 June 1747

Ratonhnhaké:ton / Connor Kenway: 4 April 1756

Arno Victor Dorian: ?? ?? 1768

Evie & Jacob Frye: 9 November 1847

So I thought, why not I just drop a message to the official AC Tumblr and ask them about it – I was curious, and I had nothing to lose. (I was not expecting an answer, to be honest!)

But to my surprise, they actually replied:

I’m not entirely sure what they mean by “surprise”, or when exactly “some point this year” means. I can’t even begin to speculate why it’s such a big deal to keep it secret until they choose to “reveal” it~! All I wanted to know was Arno’s zodiac star sign so I could check its compatibility with mine //coughs

One of my speculations is that they’ll reveal it within the AC Movie (???) because that’s coming out end of this year … but besides that Ubisoft have not announced any other big releases this year that could hold the info to Arno’s mysterious birth date.

Would anyone have any ideas and speculations behind Arno’s birthday – like when is it exactly, or why they chose to keep it hidden?

Haytham Kenway’s birthday is 4 December 1725~ :) No info on James Kidd/Mary Read though, I’m afraid – but she was not one of the main characters~

Other playable Assassins who don’t have exact birthdays are Shao Jun (birth year 1505), Arbaaz Mir (born early 19th Century), Adewale (birth year 1692), Nikolai Orelov (birth year unknown), and of course, Shay (birth year 1731)~ But unlike Arno, they aren’t prominent characters from the main flagship titles, it kind of can be overlooked~? ^^;
