I wish people just accept the absurdity of DSMP as a story. I never like when people make a weared down clothe into something grand, for me it has always felt weirdly pretentious or too much, i guess. And by this i mean, take c!Technoblade as the greater example, the amount of glazing his character got was by far my least favorite aspect of his character interpertation in artwork. He's a badass, yeah he is, but sometimes people strips him off his stupidity, absurdist nonsensical action. C!Techno I think is a pretty morally grey character filled with hypocrisy. He loves placing himself in this role as a 'necessary control/hero/villain,' most of his action are justified in his mind as something that will contribute into shaping things into "Better." He hates Tyranny yet he destroys everything he doesn't shape into his views. He hates traitor yet he himself has been a traitor for numerous time. That's what I at least remember of him as a character. But, the way most people in this fandom would go on writing him is that, everything squeek clean, bare marble. I mean, DSMP in term of writing is not great... Still what I wish could have happened when I was in the fandom was that c!Techno get a bit messy, in a way that isnt considered attractive even if they try to rewrite him into having a better sets of character development and all that jazz. This doesn't just go with C!Techno, I think a LOT of character got shoved into these box of grandeur where theyre wiped squeeky clean into this linear character trope. And it's just so... predictable, its painfully boring. I think the Character that got this the worse was mostly SBI. They're all written in a way that feels too 'clean.' C!Phil was a deadbeat and thats ok, C!Techno was willing to sell C!Tommy for peanuts and thats okay, C!Wilbur was a performative male and thats okay and C!Tommy was gay and that's okay
