Just a gentle reminder that Tommy may have broken up with Buck, but Buck told Tommy to his face that he didn't have feelings for him. Yeah, Buck didn't mean it in the way that it came out, but he still said it and Tim confirmed he never apologized. Tommy has reasons to stay away.

he's badass and he's sarcastic and he's kind and he has a cleft and big muscles and he's masculine and he fixes cars and he flies helicopters and steals them for his ex boyfriend and he's a hero who saves the day and he's OPENLY GAY!! and there's no toxic masculinity or shame and he's grown so much and that's why he's the character i've been waiting for all my life

once conrad is done with the conference in brussels he goes back to paris and spends another week with belly
conrad has the photo benito took of them on his nightstand
belly keeps conrad’s white shirt from her birthday night after he leaves… she sometimes sleeps in it when she really misses him
conrad would randomly have flowers sent to belly’s apartment “just because”
belly will stay up late at night just to talk to conrad while he studies for his exams (she will be making her own flash cards to help quiz him)
conrad would surprise belly with randomly showing up without telling her so many times (after the third time she catches on to how he does it)

conrad continues writing letters to belly because he knows how much she loves it

he cried to the notebook and just kept telling belly how much he loved her after watching it
when belly moves back home conrad drops all his plans (finds time for her like he’s always does) and helps her move
they try to foster a cat but they completely fail and adopt her (conrad is a proud girl cat dad)

Belly saying "Conrad, I choose you, of my own free will" meant so much.
Yes this was a reflection of their conversation before, where Belly felt like the only reason Jeremiah or Conrad ever loved her was because Susannah played match maker and then died. However, it was also a reflection of her relationship with Jeremiah.
Jeremiah's love for Belly rooted in his grief for his mom, and Belly's love for Jeremiah rooted in HER grief for Susannah.
They loved each and chose each other because it was "what Susannah would've wanted", and their codependency made it even harder to feel like they actually CHOSE each other. Once Belly was away from the relationship, she realized just how much she didn't feel like she had any free will or any real choice when she was with Jere. AND vice versa because she realized how much Jere's love wasn't for Belly, but it was because Susannah wanted a Fisher to marry her, and then she died. It felt like it was almost a requirement of them.
Everyone didn't understand why they wanted to get married so young and they couldn't answer that either, because they knew deep down they had two options: break up or get married. They didn't feel like breaking up was an option, so they decided marriage was what was best.
Belly and Jere were together and loved each other because they NEEDED each other, not because they wanted each other. When Belly didn't need Jere anymore, Jere was so mad and hurt, but Belly NEVER wanted to just be needed. She told Conrad that herself from s1.
But on top of this, Belly felt Conrad's love might’ve been for the same reasons because of their horrible timing. He didn't tell her how he felt until AFTER they all found out about Susannah, and though for Conrad this was because he finally felt hope and relief, to Belly it looked like he NEEDED her more than wanting. He was just trying to fulfill what Susannah would've wanted, like it wasn't a choice but a requirement.
When Conrad pulled away and they broke up during prom, Belly interpreted this as Conrad no longer wanting her OR needing her.
then in s3, Conrad confesses his love, and once again, it's horrible timing, and it feels like Conrad is less about wanting her and more about needing her. Belly is NOT an object that someone must have to live, and Conrad knows that!!!! But Belly doesn't know how Conrad always felt. To her, he only loved her because of Susannah.
One thing that was BRILLIANTLY done by Jenny Han in s1 was reflecting this EXACT mindset, but with the Deb ball. Conrad asks Belly to the ball, and she's floored, but when she finds out Susannah asked him to ask her, she DOESN'T WANT TO GO WITH CONRAD ANYMORE. She wants Conrad to WANT to go with her, not just do it because his mom wanted him to. Only Conrad doesn't ever do things for his parents because they asked him to - especially in s1. He never would've asked her if he didn't WANT to.
Now flash forward, and she telling Conrad her deepest, darkest fear. She looks at him and tells him that she doesn't believe he really loves her, its all just like Jeremiah, or just like the Deb ball, or just like when they were first together- it was all because of Susannah.
And Belly doesn't ever say that shes afraid she doesn't love him, not really. She states "I've ALWAYS loved you, and thats the problem." because Belly doesnt remember a time where she didn't love Conrad. Belly's love what him (Belly thinks) started Susannah shipping them in the first place. to Belly, her love for Conrad as a kid is what put them in this situation now.
But when Conrad states that HE has always loved her. That HE was trying to not have feelings for her WAY BEFORE his mom got sick. When he states, "I've changed everything about myself and the only thing that never changes is that I love you," Belly RELATES TO THIS.
Belly has also completely reinvented herself, and yet Conrad comes and spends a single DAY with her, and she's back to still being hopelessly in love with him. Belly has tried to shove her feelings down for him for so long, way before Susannah got sick, and suddenly Conrad never needed her more than he wanted her. Suddenly, Conrad loved her as much as she always loved him. Suddenly, everything she always thought about their relationship was wrong.
When she tells him she can't be sure this is Belly still putting on that front, the charade of pretending Conrad isn't everything she's ever wanted. Conrad had to have the same moment, but for him, it was on the beach right before her wedding. A moment of just letting herself finally have what she's always wanted, because for so long, she couldn't.
So when she looks at him and says, "I choose you, of my own free will," this is Belly finally coming full circle. Because she didn't love Jeremiah of her own free will, and he didn't love her of his, but Conrad has always chosen to love her - and now she will choose to love him, for as long as they live.
Belly being terrified that her relationship with Conrad doesn't exist in the same way without the loss of Susannah (which was true of her relationship with Jeremiah) is such an amazing character addition.
She's so, so nervous because she's reflected and identified that the foundation of her doomed relationship with Jere was bonding over the loss of Susannah, and she's afraid the same could be said for Conrad's feelings for her.
