Good news!

It hasn’t been finalized or approved yet, but in order to fill out my portfolio for art school applications with art from Evil Eye, I am applying to write and illustrate Evil Eye as an independent study at my highschool. I talked to my principal and she said that it is likely will be approved. What this means, if it gets approved, is that Evil Eye will become one of my elective classes. I will meet with a teacher three or four periods a week to talk about my progress and work on drawing/writing. It will be part of my homework to make the pages for Evil Eye. What this means for anyone interested in the comic is that I will have way more time to work on it and therefore you all will get pages and other Evil Eye content a lot faster and more often. Keep your fingers crossed!

An Update:

I’ve started outlining the plot for the comic. I’ve made quite a bit of progress today actually! I fleshed out the vampire lore, which I will post about most likely later today.

I finished my first character ref sheet for the comic, the one for Benazir! Edit: I ended up changing her design slightly; I gave her a bit darker of a skin tone

I’m redoing lior’s personality before I write the plot

I’ve found that her as a soft spoken sensitive shy girl doesn’t really fit with the story I’m writing. I’ll be changing the oc asks I’ve been sent.

16: How openly does your OC show their emotions?

Benazir: she is a good actor. She’s not completely poker face though, she will show her accurate emotions, as long as she’s not giving anything important away by doing so. Lior though she can’t fool. Lior is very good at reading people.

Lior: She hides behind humor, often self deprecating. If you really really upset her though, she’ll try to hide behind humor and fail.
