Dang I liked this AU. I kinda wanted to see Lars's reaction to Steven being PD.
I had some ideas around that... mostly heâd just get mad about it because it made his entire mission completely meaningless.. even though it would still lead to the Off Colors being free to just go to Earth and not have to worry about Yellow Diamond anymore.Â
I had one idea for a scene where Lars just decides to vent out his frustration at Greg. Because Steven and the Crystal Gems would have gone back to Homeworld at that point to talk to White Diamond, and Greg is the only human who really knew Rose Quartz...or at least thought he did. Lars is very much aware Greg had nothing to do with it, but he canât yell at Steven and he canât yell at Pink Diamond...so it was the next best thing. Greg takes it in stride and just lets him vent.Â
The one thing that always had me stumped though was how would they figure it out...because I didnât want the reveal to be exactly like in canon. I wanted Lars to be involved somehow, because I feel like his whole character arc was rendered pretty pointless in the show itself and all his most important events happened off-screen.Â
