What was the inspiration for you making Shared Beliefs AU?

I love it when cute characters suffer and Ralsei is cute. The contrast between the cuteness (which makes you want the best for them and protect them) and the suffering and abuse they go through and your inability as the reader to do anything about it, just hoping it gets better it just creates peak reader investment. And the little moments where the character experiences happiness shine that much brighter in contrast. And if there is a happy ending it will make it that much sweeter. The game also has a lot of ralsei torture moments. Like "Good, keep smiling" (you know he is suffering inside super hard behind that smile) turning off his voice lines in chapter 5... how he is carrying the weight of the prophesy and doesn't want to bother Kris and Sussie with it "Ill do every puzzle! Ill fight every enemy! Just please let me go first! And you two can have as much fun as you want" in chapter 4. And he has so many self worth issues and devalues darkners... chapter 3 "we darkness only server the lighners! We have no other purpose!" he says with a smile to Tena. So that is what inspired me, I just cranked up the depresing parts the game already showed us to the max!

Hello. I've been watching your "Shared Beliefs AU" and I have the need to strangle your takes on Susie and Kris.

Also, just wanna ask, if canon and your AU characters meet, what would happen? ...and how violent would canon Kris and Susie's reaction to "Dusty"'s treatment be?

Heyyy I love this interpretation of Ralsei and the whole AU as a whole. "Dusty" is such an adorable goober. And I want to know about him.

Is he secretly overpowered with fire magic, like our Ralsei and just chooses to be pacifist and mellow?

I don't think he will be using THAT magic yet in the main story... but I will make a few pages on an alternate chapter 2 soon and we might see some of that there. I promise great tragedy on that alternate path!
