This monument represents the single bloodiest ground-battle during WWII in the former Yugoslavia, in which the Axis powers unsuccessfully sought to eliminate the Yugoslav Partisan forces. While almost two-thirds of the Partisan forces were killed (6,391 + 2,537 sympathizers, total 8,928), this battle was seen as a major failure for the Nazis and Axis power, as it served as a major turning point for Partisan control in Yugoslavia for the following years.

Do not relate the Black Lives Matter movement to the rise of the Chinese Communist Party.

This is no “modern day Tiananmen” protest.

60 people were beheaded and another 1,200 were captured in one day, never to be seen again.

Comparing a peaceful protest to the atrocities that the Chinese people have faced is like comparing an aggravated robbery to the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
