What are your thoughts on 'Blood and Oil'? Do you think it's better/worse than TNT's 'Dallas'? Does it have a chance to survive on TV?

I thought it was rushed, poorly acted and just plain AWFUL! The whole laundromat thing had me laughing for days. Also the fact that they set it in North Dakota without taking the time to realize there aren’t any damn mountains in NORTH DAKOTA. If you’re filming in Utah set the damn thing there so it looks less ridiculous. 

I can’t truly judge if it was better/worse than TNT, my love for the Ewings clouds my judgment. But, no I don’t see it surviving too long.

Reading Linda's book made me feel so bad for her, she compared her own marriage to JR and Sue Ellen's early marriage. Like if I didn't feel bad enough for SE, now I feel terrible for Linda too

Well, at least she was able to get out of the marriage and make a rather great life for herself.
