The heat of battle was familiar to Marth. He had survived what was equivalent of hell twice over. Now, for a third time, he was in a warzone, this time between Hoshido and Nohr. However, no he was known by his real name, the name Lucina. In this time of need for both kingdoms, Lucina had done her best to benefit everyone. In doing so, she had abandoned her friends in Hoshido, those who had accepted her like family, put her in their ranks, and gone into battle under her command. All for what, to protect Lady Corrin? Maybe she just wanted to protect herself. Maybe she was being selfish.

To her left, Lady Corrin and Lord Ryoma were in combat. To her right, her friends from Nohr were fighting off ninja and samurai. Shuriken and arrows flew, clanging on shields and axes and swords. Out of the corner of her eye, Lucina saw her brother Laslow excelling in battle. Fighting off three or four men all at once, he didn’t see the Ox Spirit heading for him from one of the Diviners on Hoshido’s side of things.
“L-Laslow!” She cried out, rushing over and shoving him, both narrowly avoiding the attack. But, before she could put up her guard...
Lucina felt a sharp blade cut her mask. It blindsided her, causing her to be disoriented. And before she could regain her balance, Lucina felt a shuriken dig into her chest. The bluenette cried out in pain. She looked down in horror at her right breast. She could feel the shuriekn in there. Lucina clutched her chest, feeling the wetness of the blood, before she toppled onto her knees and collapsed onto the ground. All she could do was gasp in horror as she twitched, unable to move.
This... this is it. I’m dying. Father, Mother... Laslow... I’m so sorry. Xander, please take care of Mina and Siegbert... My dear children, I’m sorry Mother won’t be coming home. I became just like my parents... I’ve left them nothing but a sword and burdens to shoulder.
