In Miraās eyes, from her first impressions of the city so far, it really was a broken and barren disaster of a place. There wasnāt much to do, none of her powers worked, and Lilith was still missing. How the people running this place expected anyone to survive here was a mystery. For probably the first time in her life, she was homesick. Homesick of the freedom she had and took for granted, and the things she no longer had access too. At least at home she had wine to help with her problems. Now she didnāt even have that.
It didnāt stop her from exploring though. When boredom had overtaken, desperation came with it. Desperation to find something that would help her through this mess, maybe something that would help her get Lilith back, a sign from the Raven Queen, anything. But today her usual walking around the rubble went a little differently, a massive cracking and rumbling sound catching her attention. It caught it far too late though, as brick and bits of wood came tumbling down, catching her leg in the avalanche of debris. Mira swore as she was pulled to the ground, pinned down by the pile of rubble now surrounding her. Panic swept over her as she tried to pull it free, pain shooting through her ankle.
Before Mira had any real time to react, she saw hands reaching for the bits of brick and debris keeping her on the ground. She looked up to see an older looking woman wasting no time in helping her out. Mira was silent in shock for a moment, trying to register what had just happened before slowly sitting herself upright amidst the pain.
āAhhāThank you so muchā¦ā She winced, the bricks relieving pressure from her ankle causing more pain. āOuch! Damn, this place sure is a disaster isnāt it? Even the walls are against us, it looks like.ā
It took more strength than 21 had expected to exert to yank away the largest conglomerate of building debris from the strangerās leg. After a few large chunks had been removed, 21 looked over to the girl and smiled.Ā āI know a few people who would agree with you,ā she started.Ā āThe cityās ruins arenāt the safest places to explore.ā With one last section of rubble removed, the android managed to free the blonde girl from her stony restraints.Ā āThere. I think that should do it.ā
āTry not to move too much, okay?ā Android 21 turned her attention to the girlās ankle, studying it carefully to assess the damage.Ā āHow badly does it hurt? You shouldnāt try standing on it until we figure out your situation.ā Gently and conspicuously, the android opened her hands up and placed her palms softly against the girlās ankle. Her fingers wrapped around the damaged area gingerly, barely administering pressure.
āDoes it hurt if I hold your ankle like this?ā
