I just noticed that every once in a while, the internet decides to hate on an animated character to the point of hoping said character dies in a horrific and painful death and the reason is mostly either

1. Someone jokingly hating on them (bonus if some people took it seriously and the joke goes out of control)

2. For something stupid/cringy they did/said (bonus when the character is a kid and are just acting like such)

3. In defense of a character that would do/say worse things (mostly related to 2)

4. Some youtuber making a video demonizing them

5. The writers butchering or screwing them up (sometimes related to 3)

6. Clips of the characters that were taken out of context
