It should be noted that they blocked it because of animal rights and not human rights. They were more concerned about the crocodiles than the Palestinians they are torturing.

Oli (Olimpia) is the biological daughter of Tad and Sara after reading this article and got to this part.
Adopted children inherit physical and biological genes exclusively from their birth parents, not their adoptive parents.
Which means that she is Tad and Sara's biological kid and THAT means Tad and Sara are now married! And that also means they got BUSY!
Also I did some research and a child can have a different eye color than their parents.
We officially have canon confirmation that Tad and Sara "explored" eachother. That's so epic.
(Tho since we're on the subject, them having a biological kid doesn't automatically confirm that they're married. I would know, i was born before my mom married. Obviously we can't say for sure if Sara and Tad are married or not, but hey who knows maybe Enrique will bring it up)
Anyway awesomesauce.
The central Video Game Fantasy Undertale tries to explore with its āMorality Systemā is the Fantasy of Fun, Righteous Violence. With the knowledge that pretty much every encounter in the game can be won peacefully if you just put your mind into it, and the context the Player is canonically an Unkillable Time God, and the fact that pretty much every āEnemyā in the game is an important part of the Monster Community and a beloved friend of someone - not a disposable number or an Objectively Bad Person everyone will praise you for killingā¦. That all takes away from the standard video game fantasy of, well, beating the Monsters and getting Stronger and knowing youāre a āHeroā for doing so.
If anything, if you embrace the idea of beating Monsters and getting Stronger to its logical extreme, you end up being the Objectively Bad Person your enemies can face in acts of Futile, but definitely Heroic and Righteous Violenceā¦
And then even when you are in a situation when you have to FIGHT, against Asgore, in a Fight that wouldnāt even lock you out of a Pacifist Ending if you do kill him, this lack of choice/judgement of your actions does not remove the emotional complexity of violence from this situation. The entire sequence leading up to it is designed to make Asgore as sympathetic as possible, you hear people speak highly of him through the whole game, you know he has become the symbol of hope for the entire Underground, the removed Mercy button feels more like an option taken away then a āpermissionā to act violently.
The Asgore Fight is, in the context of a Pacifist or Near-Pacifist Playthrough, a Human and a Monster who would much rather solve things peacefully, but both feel like they have no other choice but to FIGHT. And that's not really Fun nor Righteous, that's just a tragedy. Not āyou canāt Love and Understanding your way out of this oneā as a permission for violence, but emphasizing how truly terrible it is that Love and Understanding are insufficient for resolving the situation. "Kill or be Killed" as a tragedy, and not in the way Flowey has learned to use it, as a validation for murderous callousness.
Because outside of the Murder Route Battles, Violence/Killing isnāt always simple or easy or righteous to the other characters either (even if it still feels like the Player is held up to a different standard, cause, like, Unkillable Time God). Toriel is, similarly to Asgore, someone who would quite like to be a Pacifist, but just canāt put her faith in non-violence. And as much as she tries to avoid causing lasting damage, she can, much like the Player, make Fatal mistakes.
No matter how much she tries, Undyne canāt find the Determination within her to become Undying outside of the Murder Route because she always has a little hint of doubt within her that maybe Asgoreās plan isnāt the right, heroic thing after all. Alphys is at least tokenly on-board with the plan until she starts developing a parasocial relationship with the Player Character, and then she starts creating her hare-brained manipulative scheme to try and make sure both Asgore and you can stay aliveā¦.
And the one time the Player gets to FIGHT in a way that one could argue is both necessary and righteous is Omega Flowey. Like, much like Asgore, this is a battle you canāt resolve in non-violent ways no matter how hard you try, if youāre still on the Neutral Route, you do probably still have the moral high ground over Flowey, the elements that do make Flowey sympathetic are revealed for most players after this fight, and, like, the Player never stops being the Player of course, but within the fiction of the battle, Flowey has taken over as the resident Unkillable Time God. The only reason why the Player can still come back over and over again when they die is because Flowey lets them, because, well, he doesnāt have anything better to do.
You can say that between that battle and the Murder Route, that Undertale makes the argument that the only kind of people in the Underground that are both powerful enough and unreasonable enough to the point where violence feels actually righteous against them are people like Flowey and Murder Route Players, people who utterly disregarded any attempt to treat the Monsters around them as people - but rather as either Enemies and/or toys that need to be squeezed for every last drop of Content. But also⦠the ironic thing being, with Unkillable Time Gods, killing them is actually a rather inefficient way of dealing with them.
Killing Flowey is designed to never be satisfying for the Player either way, it's tragic on the Murder Route, and at the end of his Neutral Omega FIGHT it's very obviously the less triumphant option compared to giving him MERCY. Neutral Route Flowey wants you to kill him, because he feels pretty damn confident you'd be unsatisfied with the Neutral Ending and thus you'll RESET the game and bring him back to life. So the only thing killing him does is, in his eyes, validate his views of the world. "Kill or Be Killed" started from a place of genuine trauma and regret, a situation where honest non-violence was punished by a cruel world...
But it has become, like I said before, his justification for the cruelty and callousness he developed with his newfound powers and general disregard for the personhood of the people of the Underground.
He seeks out further validation of this philosophy, he wants to keep on believing his violence has also always been justified in some twisted cynical way (even though up until the start of the game, he was the resident Unkillable Time God), and if a Player is really interested in 'beating' him, it might be a better strategy to try to prove him wrong...
And then with Deltarune trying to be, on some level a more complex and darker look on defeating your enemies via the Power of Friendship and Understanding, with an acknowledgement right off the first Chapter that there are some battles you will have to FIGHTā¦
But also with the theme of Choices Not Mattering and the Dark Worlds having a more āGame-yā approach to Violence than the Underground. With Enemies generally just running away when defeated rather than Literally Dying. So unless you go Full Snowgrave, you are at worst a Massive Asshole rather than a Literal Mass-Murderer⦠There are FIGHTs that are meant to just be Goofy Fun, like the Giga-Queen Battle (where I donāt think many people were worried about Queen seriously dying from her giant robot getting punched in the face a bunch of times)ā¦.
And FIGHTing the Titan fits pretty well into the archetype of a Heroic Righteous Battle, against something more like a force of nature with hands that canāt even understand the concept of Mercyā¦
But itās nice that Deltarune never truly lost sight of the idea of āyou canāt Love and Understanding your way out of this oneā being a Tragedy.
Like, King at first seemed like a classically straightforward Objectively-Bad-Guy that you can beat up and be hailed as a Hero (especially since this is basically what happens after a āPacifistā Playthrough of Chapter 1), butā¦
The more we learn about King and about the Metaphysical Mechanics of Light and Dark, the more clear it becomes he really is fascinatingly and compellingly rebellious. The way Darkners are āsupposedā to live really is Existentially Terrifying, and itās easy to get invested in any of the few Darkners who find it to within themselves the will to try and break away from how unfair it all is. Kingās refusal to believe the happiness of Castle Town will last and that the Darkners wonāt end up abandoned to the despair of being denied their āPurposeā again, not wanting to 'serve' Lightners, fighting to prevent the sealing of his Fountain, calling Ralsei a āpatsyā and a āpuppetā, that all feels very understandable considering the opinions that Ralsei did believe during the events of the early Chapters of the game.
And, like, King still sucks. Heās still kind of a Terrible Person regardless of his goals, and itās understandable why Susie has yet to soften on him at all.
(Especially as itās very likely that heās striking a nerve with her regarding her own family life).
But it still becomes more and more Tragic that thereās seemingly no way for the Heroes to prove Kingās hardened heart, turned cynical and cruel through genuine trauma from a fundamentally unfair world just like Flowey's, wrong, that with Susie also wanting to break through the unfairness of Light and Dark in her own rudely optimistic way, there is no path for them to somehow join forces in this goal, that King will always reject friendship from Lightners, because on some level that will be surrendering to his original Purpose as a plaything over his newly self-built identity as the Bad Guy. Even if King is kind of a terrible person, the reason why the gap between him and the Heroes canāt be bridged isnāt up just to him being Terrible, but to the fact the Heroes of the Prophecy just seem⦠not very capable of addressing the legitimate grievances he does have.
And then with the Sound of Justice, that seemed to just be the Darkner equivalent of a Mindless Automaton, or on a more symbolic level, a Zombie. An āundeadā reflection of a lost loved one. And, while its apparent lack of sapience means we donāt have to worry about the āhey, did Ralsei just straight-up murder someone or whatā problem at such a critical moment, itās still playing up the horrors that come with facing something that wonāt listen to reason. And the Zombie/Undead horror of being forced to harm (or see your friend) harm something with a loved oneās face.
And then Chapter 5 is so cool on this front, because even though itās the most āPacifisticā Chapter on many level (with both the Final Boss and a Secret Boss you basically have to solve peacefully) and very Not-Evil antagonists, itās also the Chapter thatās most directly deconstructive of Undertaleās Pacifist Root Route since Chapter 1 - challenging the idea of always being able to find the Golden Solution that will make everyone happy. Sometimes peopleās goals will be at odds, sometimes you canāt please everyone, sometimes it really is a matter of Kill or Be Killed Seal or Be Sealed.
And itās so tragic because this is a case of two groups of equally sympathetic, equally well-meaning people who would both honestly prefer if they didnāt have to battle each other, that would have honestly preferred it if the other side would have been over by their Power of Friendship and seen things from their perspective, but they just canāt compromise on the āFantasiesā that have become such important Homes for them. Thereās smaller details you can litigate either way as to which of them is More Right, and also other grievances involved such as Flowery being aware that Kris is a Double-Agent working against the goals of both groups⦠But the Tragedy of being unable to find a peaceful solution, for both sides, is the important narrative focus.
At the end of the day, the situation is only peacefully resolved when one side had to admit that their Goals were just plain doomed from the start. So itās hard to feel 100% Triumphant about even this non-violent victory either. Not when our Heroes are also trying to fight against their own Doomed by the Narrative Status, not when Ralseiās defeatism and determinism was the cause behind so much of their negative behavior this chapter. Even winning Peacefully can be a very ambivalent victory.
And itāll be interesting to see where this thread goes in the future. The Roaring Knight is one of the other few Fights so far where MERCY is just not an option, but I skipped over it in my analysis because we just know so little about them right now, itās hard to say why, or what sort of emotions itās supposed to invoke in us, or if even itās going to stay that way in subsequent encounters. Not to mention any other potentially-antagonistic forces that the Fun Gang hasnāt fought directly yet. Like I said, Deltarune has a wide, nuanced variety of conflicts that fall in different places on the emotional Spectrum⦠But I hope this angle, of 'Kill or Be Killed' as a Tragedy is never lost on the game, that it keeps being an important focus.
I hate Joe Exotic but this exchange reset my brain

I am raising funds for Yesmin, a 27 year old mother from Gaza and a victim of the ongoing genocide. Here are her own words:
Vetted by association Iām ayoosha-stuff friends
Hello friends, I am Yasmin from northern Gaza Strip. I am 27 years old, a mother of two children, Sila and Youssef, and I have been married for more than 7 years.
I was studying Journalism and Media at the University College, and I had both a home and a job. But because of the war, I lost my home, my work, and everything I owned.
My familyās house was also destroyed, and now we have nothing left except a worn-out tent whose torn walls cannot protect us from the heat of summer or the cold of winter.
My husband is injured. He was involved in a traffic accident while trying to get aid, and he is now disabled and unable to work.
My children have suffered from malnutrition due to the lack of food and proper nutrition.
That is why I am only asking for your help and support. I am here trying to save what is left of my childrenās lives. They are between life and death.
Please, try to support us and donate whatever you can.
Does anyone remember that post where it's like Smoking That Shit That Turns You Into Foops Fooglies or was that a really vivid dream I had when I got food poisoning

Legalizing copyright infringement would be dismantling one of the few limitations on the white urge to steal from Black Art and Black Artists. The practical application of it would be anti-Black as fuck
this argument makes so many assumptions that I disagree with that I don't know where to start
damn asker, that's crazy and would suck. good thing we have robust IP law in the United States to prevent theft from Black artists
now to take a big sip of coffee and look up who owns Tupac Shakur's likeness
Steven Spielberg has received criticism for buying the film rights to MLK's speeches, and further controversy stems from King's estate.
In 2009, Steven Spielberg's DreamWorks company paid the estate for film rights to King's words, along with his life rights, which allow a person or company to make content based on an individual's story. DreamWorks has yet to produce or direct Spielberg's planned King biopic, but the rights have caused complications for numerous filmmakers. (Neither Spielberg's literary agent nor King's estate returned Broadly's request for comment.)
King has received only one major biopic, 2014's Selma, directed by Ava DuVernay [ā¦] Instead of using King's speeches, DuVernay wrote original monologues that sounded like soliloquies the civil rights leader could have given. [ā¦] When asked about the changes in 2014, DuVernay told the Washington Post, "We knew those rights are already gone. They're with Spielberg."
idk I think this new era of Disney systemically poaching non-white cultures to be made into Representation Movies all directed by some white guy named like Laird Bannister III is kinda fucked up and sinister
For everyone saying āwe need more movies that are LatAm people telling their own stories!ā I have great news that every country south of the United States has its own film industry
love the implication that c*nada doesn't have its own film industry
I was talking about Latin American countries specifically but also youāre right it doesnāt
As someone in Animation from one of said Latin American countries: yes we do! We DO have industries! But the combination of imperialism, colonisation and multiple social and economic crises has left us in a state where THEREāS NO MONEY. Our industry is used mostly as outsourced labor for giants such as Disney. No, your favourite movies and series arenāt fully made in LA. A lot of the bulk of the work is made by us! Weāre the cheap, overworked labor that doesnāt even get mentioned by name in the credits!
āāBut Ami! What can we do?āā Because of many reasons, we ALSO donāt have access to fundraiser platforms, weāre geo blocked by kickstarted, indiegogo and such. Buuuuuuut we ARE still pushing and pulling! We ARE still getting out as much work as we can! Check out this incomplete list of animation studios! Support this latin american fundraising website, idea.meĀ ! Spread awareness ofĀ Global South countriesās state of cheap labor exploited by the first world! Support collectives like Third World Artists CollectivesĀ and its website with resources! Weāre here!
Also! If you want to watch an amazing piece of Latin American animation and don't like dubs *or* subs, here's an entirely wordless film:
It's called "The Boy and the World", and it's from Brazil. It's deep, political and sad, but also entirely ok for kids to watch and ultimately hopeful. It's low budget, but very colorful and beautifully designed. So far my very favourite animated film made in Latin America so far, and on par with Ghibli stuff in terms of depth and vision (IMO).
MAY YOUR DAY BE YAOIFUL ON THIS YAOI DAY EVERYONE š„³ššØāā¤ļøāšāšØš

it's that time of the year again my dudes
Toby are you dead ass
I feel so insane about ai. I've had face-to-face conversations with people who use it for therapy, who use it to calculate the safety of pill interactions, who use it for all their emails and grant applications and legal documents and academic papers and finance sheets and for every single question they have about the world, and if you tell them about the ecological costs they just laugh and say "I guess I've used a lot of water." and I've been in multiple gatherings of 10+ people where I'm THE ONLY PERSON who doesn't use chatgpt. it's turning me into a ranting raving pariah, because how don't you people see??? why don't you understand??????? this bullshit didn't exist five years ago, you absolutely do not need it, and it is destroying everything
my friend just had an art show and they were communicating with the gallerist over email. They could clearly tell that the gallerist was using AI to respond to their emails, but just rolled their eyes and moved on.
and then on the day of the show, my friend asks, "where is the camera I requested?"
gallerist: "you didn't request a camera"
my friend: "I did, and you confirmed that you would have one here."
gallerist: "that isn't true."
and then she proceeded to pull up the email thread, and my friend could see that every single email they had sent had been summarized by AI, and that the gallerist had then had AI write a response to them based on the AI summary, and that the AI had detected that they needed a camera, and confirmed on behalf of the gallerist that they would bring a camera, but because the gallerist had offloaded the work of actually reading and responding, she simply hadn't actually made any note of it herself, therefore didn't bring it, nor did she even know one was needed.
so my friend had done all of this communication about their needs and expectations to be able to make the show possible, and the person whose job it was to read that information and get it done had simply.... not read the information and not done it. because AI.
"Gore should be preceded by accurate warnings" Yes exactly. Lots of places on the internet are really sloppy or even straightup malicious about this kind of thing and just spam gore or post it unwarned and it sucks so fucking bad!!
"Gore is nsfw" Maybe not in the sense nsfw has kind of became shorthand for in some spaces (sexual content) but strictly speaking, yeah.
"Gore is 18+" I'm going to sit down with you and have you explain me how exactly you have reached that conclusion.
"Erm, kids that get into car accidents or live in warzones are kinda problematic"
Fucking insane that some American passport bro is using a faked ALBANIAN identity as the justification to call Black people subhumans and call me an Epstein child molester simply because Iām Jewish. Like that just adds such an extra dimension to everything they say.
You wanted an excuse to play the role of a victim and global southerner and you chose Albania as your false national identity? Girl how the fuck is being fucking Albanian an excuse to be antiblack, anti-indigenous and antisemitic?
