things i want to tell my ED: get your shit together
I just got off the phone with a donor whoâs drawl was so thick you could hear the civil war in it. He spent the entire call bashing on TN and we bonded over the shit state of the south
when you love your donors so much that you spend all day crafting personalized emails and get a dozen inquiries back to speak with you on the phone
â In addition to being puzzled that there aren't millions marching (we need a general strike if you ask me) I'm sorry I don't have millions to donate, but I'll send a few dollars here and there as I can. Thanks for saying hello and keep up the good work.â
I fucking love my donors
Iâve been sending personal emails to donors thanking them for their feedback on a donor survey for 1.5 hours now and I need a fucking break
That moment when you rapid fire off a couple cold emails and you forgot to edit on fill in the blank section of the companyâs name and you are mortifiedÂ
OK but gay country music would go so hard though. Ladies singing about the girl in cut offs sitting next to them in their truck, dudes singing about showing off for the farmers son, bi people singing about how the county fair is hot but it ainât cause of the heat. 90% of country music could be fixed if we removed the heteronormativity
The other 10% of country music is fine just the way it is cause thatâs the 10% thatâs women singing about killing their abusive husbands.Â
