Verdad! THE REPUBS Obstructed him at every turn. It is incredible how much he did accomplish with such opposition from racist Tea Party adherents.

I wish Rick and Morty hadn’t been reduced to the “i’m pickle rick!” joke when that was such a character developing episode dealing with family trauma, unhealthy coping mechanisms, and how uncomfortable yet crucial therapy can really be. Dr. Wong’s speech at the end was great:
Funny how Beth had to learn she isn’t evil; just smart.
Beth: I am wiped out, I guess I’ll turn in. Rick: Cool. Beth: Dad? I feel like I have spent my life pretending you’re a great guy and trying to be like you and the ugly truth has always been… Rick: That I’m not that great a guy and you’re exactly like me. Beth: Am I evil? Rick: Worse. You’re smart. When you know nothing matters, the universe is yours and I’ve never met a universe that was into it. The universe is basically an animal, it grazes on the ordinary. Creates infinite idiots just to eat them. Not unlike your friend Timmy… Beth: Tommy. Rick: Yeah, hardly matters now, sweetie. You know, smart people get a chance to climb on top, take reality for a ride. But it will never stop trying to throw you and eventually, it will. There’s no other way off. Beth: Dad, I am out of excuses to not be who I am. So, who am I? What do I do? Rick: My advice, take off. Put a saddle on your universe, let it kick itself out.

9 Things You Need To Have To Create Success
1. Mindset - our mindset acts as the filter between the external world & our inner world. When we cultivate a strong mindset we can focus on our journey instead of things that distract us such as the opinions of others.
2. Passion - the only way to do great things is to love what you do, so we must do what we love every single day.
3. Honesty - being 100% authentic and saying yes when we mean yes and no when we mean no is how we attract the people, places & things that will help us create success.
4. Work - instead of expecting for the results to just present themselves we must create them.
5. Patience - anything that comes easy isn’t worth having and anything that’s worth having doesn’t come easy, we must be patient and remember that Rome wasn’t built in a day.
6. Gratitude - practicing gratitude aligns us with the abundance mindset and attracts more of what we already have.
7. Resilience - our ability to push forward in the face of failure will determine whether we quit or try again.
8. Self-worth - refusing to settle for less than we’re truly worth is what prevents us from accepting where we’re at as our final destination and propels us into action.
9. Perspective - acknowledging our own mortality helps us to assess whether or not something is worth spending energy on. If it won’t matter in 5 years, don’t spend 5 minutes thinking about it.
Whatever you focus on grows.
Peace & positive vibes.

8 Things That Don’t Belong In Your Life In 2018
1. Negative people - a seed will not grow in toxic soil. Negative people have a problem for every solution and this is why we must distance ourselves from them if we want to thrive. We become the average of the people we spend the most time with so we must surround ourselves with positive energy.
2. Self-doubt - not believing in ourselves. When doubts arise in the mind w are being presented with the choice of whether or not we feed them our attention. Whatever we focus on grows so we must focus on feeding the thoughts that nurture our growth.
3. Fear - limiting ourselves to mediocrity. Fear is false evidence appearing real, in order to eliminate fear from our lives we must live in alignment with what we love. We can do this by doing the things we love every day and practicing mindfulness to tune into the now and tune out fearful distractions created by the mind.
4. Settling - being a victim of circumstance. Instead of settling for whatever comes our way we must assess it and ask ourselves “does this meet my standards of self-worth?”. Settling for less than we’re worth out of convenience or boredom is how we create a life of unfulfillment.
5. Excuses - justifications for not taking action. The reason why many of us have not created the reality we desire is that we are making excuses such as “I’m tired”. When we are tired we must learn to rest, not quit.
6. Ignorance - being closed-minded. Observing the experiences we have in life as opportunities to learn and grow is how we evolve. Judging these experiences as “bad” and refusing to learn what they were sent to teach us ensures we repeat our past mistakes.
7. Entitlement - expecting results instead of working for them. Nothing works unless we do, feeling entitled to people treating us in a certain way or to success is the fastest route to disappointment.
8. Weakness - doing what’s easy instead of what’s right. We make thousands of choices every single day but at the end of the day, it’s our choices that determine how our lives look.
Hard choices - easy life, easy choices - hard life.
Peace & positive vibes.

Short bouts of a sleep, called REM, separate humans from other primates, scientists find. Sleeping on the ground may have a lot to do with it.
If it seems like you’re not getting enough sleep, you’re not alone. People have evolved to sleep much less than chimps, baboons or any other primate studied so far, a new study finds.
Charles Nunn and David Samson are evolutionary anthropologists. They study how humans have evolved to behave the way we do. Nunn works at Duke University in Durham, N.C. Samson works at the University of Toronto Mississauga in Canada. In their new study, the two compared sleep patterns in 30 different species of primates, including humans. Most species slept between nine and 15 hours daily. Humans averaged just seven hours of shut-eye.
Based on lifestyle and biological factors, however, people should get 9.55 hours, Nunn and Samson calculate. Most other primates in the study typically sleep as much as the scientists predicted they should. Nunn and Samson shared their findings online February 14 in the American Journal of Physical Anthropology.
