41 years ago today Guns N' Roses debuted "welcome to the jungle" at the troubadour in Hollywood. July 20th 1985.

I would give absolutely anything to be alive back then but here's a scan of a flyer that I managed to get my hands on allegedly from that show, closet I'll ever get to being there 😭

It's crazy to think just 2 years after this, it was the birth of arguably the greatest debut album of all time. 39 years ago today Appetite for Destruction was born. July 21st 1987.

The stones, in their 80's releasing TWO music videos within a month of each other, a WHOLE NEW ALBUM in literally a few days, they have a podcast, potentially...maybe...hopefully a tour (or residency) next year...

And then you have Izzy. 20 years younger and ... nothing. Literally crickets. Cmon Izzy, man ANYTHING, just post a pixelated image of your little toe or something idk man.

No one knows how much this photo fills me with SO MUCH pride 😭 like it's silly because I don't even know him but just thinking about how he was just a kid from bum-fuck Indiana with a love for rock n roll.

I often wonder if he felt like this was his "I made it" moment. I hope he looks back on his life so far and smiles because he should.

But yeah anyways... you did it Iz, you really did it 🥹
