This planet isn't like ours. The inhabitants are not like us. This world we live on is the new wild west. A sensuous evil world. Strange and haunting, the path of the moon.
Hello, all. Unfortunately, this message is not being published on a positive note. Evidently, Exodus has already slowed down dramatically - and both of us wish we had the time and effort to pick it back up again. But with school and work vamping up for the pair of us, we simply don't. We're devastated to let this place go so early, but at the moment, there is no other choice.
Any and all current roleplayers who wish to continue playing on the dash may do so! However, Exodus Earth is officially disbanded and closed down. Hopefully in the future, we will be able to start this up again, and at that time we hope all our players will be able to return with us. Thank-you so much to everyone for your continued support, and both admins offer up apologies for failing you on our front. If you wish to keep in contact with either of us, send a message to the main and we can provide our personal blogs or Skype.
Hello all, this is Admin Taryn! I realize things are slow right now, and I'm working as hard as I can to fix that. Unfortunately, due to the fact that my laptop is on its last legs, I can no longer copy and paste - making queuing/promoing extremely hard, as I have to write them out one at a time (as opposed to mass production). Meanwhile, Admin Charlie is a very busy gal, and I have been unable to contact her for some time now. As Exodus is her plot/brain baby and not mine, I'm unable to make major decisions or plot twists. Nor can I publish/create new biographies, as I do not have Photoshop to make the graphics.
All that being said, I'm here to help as much as I can. If you need anything, feel free to message the main or either of my characters.
What font do you guys use for the main ? it's very effective and adds to the uniqueness of the roleplay
Unfortunately I couldn’t tell you, as the lovely Admin Charlie did all the graphics/theme! Perhaps send another message when she’s around again, and she’ll be able to tell you.

Character Name: Jace Davies
Did you read the rules? Sure did.
Why did you choose this character? I have very few original characters under my belt and while Jace isn’t entirely my own creation, I’d really love to flesh him out. I typically roleplay characters that are canon on TV shows, so it’ll be a challenge for me to start from scratch with him in a genre I’ve never written for.
If applying for a human character, what is the one most important item that your character brought with them after the destruction of Earth and why? Before they were separated, his dad had given him a watch that had belonged to his grandfather. They were supposed to be meet back up again before shipping out, but they never showed up to their arranged meeting spot. The watch is still set to his time on Earth and a reminder of what he’s fighting for.
If applying for a Peleian character, are they scared of death and why or why not? Since I’m not applying for a Peleian character, I guess I’ll leave this one blank.
In Character Sample Paragraph (Third Person, 2+ Full Paragraphs):
Jace had suppressed his own fair share of guilt since relocating to Panacea and though he tried not to outwardly complain, the transition hadn’t exactly been easy on him or the people in his camp. In the first few weeks of settlement he had asked around quite a bit about his family. His older sister had been five months pregnant when the evacuation warnings had been sent out and he had worried almost daily about their whereabouts and their safety. If they were alive and if so, were they doing okay? How were they adjusting to all of this? After more than a year of no answers, Jace had settled with the fact that he might never know or understand what could have happened to them. Truth to be told, he didn’t think he ever really wanted to know. He had an obligation to his race that outweighed any of the worries he was experiencing – past or present.
Discovering Panacea had come with its own set of difficulties. The planet was more lush and diverse than anything he had ever seen before. Living here now, he was starting to believe that his enthusiasm over Panacea had been in vain. He couldn’t imagine another month, let alone year, of living in this war zone. It was a far cry from the habitable utopia he had raved to his superiors about in his haste. Still, he remained to be hopeful. The morale in his camp was at all-time low and as a respected member of his community, he wanted everyone to feel secure and safe in their environment. The second that they felt otherwise, he felt as though the situation would begin to spiral and spiral quick.
The lush, green Earth they had all learned so much about in their textbooks was a far cry from the corroded and crumbling biosphere his generation had been born into. Over half of the population had gone radio silent after World War II and since those dark days, the odds of survival had never seemed so hopeless. Raised on and around a Legion military base north of Portland, Jace grew up struggling to thrive in his father’s shadow and make sense of the world he lived in. His dad had enlisted into the Guardian unit when he was only 21 years old. In his many years of service, had earned himself an admirable reputation among his peers for his bravery during combat and an active involvement in intergalactic affairs. When Jace began to show an interest in joining himself, his mom and his sister were both very vocal about how dangerous it was. Some of the military men and women who had already been sent up there were never heard from again - to this day, their whereabouts still unknown. Resolved to prove them wrong, he went into pilot training almost immediately after coming of age.
The training was rigorous and after months of learning extensive combat and communication procedures, his superiors started to take notice of his dedication and hard work. He was sent into space for six months and spent countless hours learning how to navigate the gravitational forces and obstacles of space. It took them less than a year to send him into deep space to start doing recon missions for the United Earth Council. His assignments were simple at first and he could honestly say that he enjoyed scouting out planets that had otherwise been unknown to him. It was an exhilarating feeling and he felt a small sense of pride in knowing he could go where others had not. His willingness to get his hands dirty quickly earned him the nickname of “Jammer” among his peers. In addition to his reconnaissance duties, he had a knack for jamming any communication systems within a ten mile radius of his ship. A skill that would come in handy when dealing with enemy opposition.
As soon as he had heard that Serum 3371-X had gone global, he returned home as quickly as possible to assist in any way he could. He came to find that the loving community he had grown up in had turned to chaos. Neighborhoods were ransacked and people were piling on top of one another to board departing civilian vessels. In his own sheer panic, Jace had raced to go and find his family. His sister was five months pregnant with her first child and his dad’s health had been slowly deteriorating ever since he had retired from his post. Trouble was, he couldn’t find them anywhere. It was almost as if they had vanished into thin air overnight, his childhood home wiped completely clean by looters. All he had left was the watch on his wrist and a promise to serve his race in the only way he knew how.
Flight.
*** Here is his history (finally). If you’d like me to include him discovering Panacea, I can, but I thought that would be best to reveal through active rolepay. Hope you guys enjoy. Thank you for your patience!
Congratulations Ren, you've been accepted for the role of Stella Daniels! Please read and complete everything on the New Member Checklist.
Canon Character:
◦OOC Name: Ren
◦Age: 20
◦Preferred Gender Pronoun: She
◦Timezone: EST
◦Availability: 4-5 I’m a full time student and school work takes precedent
◦Previous Roleplay Accounts: elbenalana.tumblr.com, sorenfairchild.tumblr.com, if you need any more I’ll be happy to provide some
◦Character Name: Stella Daniels
◦Did you read the rules? If you put some sort of password I read it backwards and forwards and didn’t see anything. I also didn’t get anything from the plot page?
◦Why did you choose this character? I imagine Stella witty and sharp, with a wry sense of humor, but performs wickedly well when asked to fly. When I see Stella I see her as the kind of person who is incredibly laid back in casual situations, but really knows the difference between work and play and that sort of character is someone I feel like I can take and develop, and mold into an almost sentient being.
◦If applying for a Human character, what is the one most important item that your character brought with them after the destruction of Earth and why? A small, battered photo of her small family. Just mom, dad, and herself. It would be the only reason for Stella to keep pressing on in her position. Her motivation, if that makes any sense. It’s not something she really explains to people, but sometimes she’ll just reach inside her pocket and touch the edge of the photo and feel a resolve to make a new home for herself, and her makeshift family.
◦If applying for a Peleian character, are they scared of death and why or why not?
◦In Character Sample Paragraph (Third Person, 2+ Full Paragraphs):
Stella wasn’t anything if not meticulous when it came to the viper she flew on a semi-regular basis. If she wasn’t flying on it she liked to hover around it while the mechanic worked on it, or even work on it herself. She wasn’t really certified to work on them and only did so when no one was around, though she was sure the mechanic had a sneaking suspicion she was. Stella would always ask questions, trying to absorb as much knowledge as she could about the viper when she wasn’t flying. In the pilot seat, she knew everything there was to know. All the controls and what they did. Sometimes she couldn’t remember on the spot, but she routinely quizzed herself with fingering the edge of the picture in her breast pocket. Everything she did was because of that family she would never be able to get back.
Yeah, Stella had it easy as a kid, and her childhood wasn’t anything to write home about, but when the Earth imploded, she got separated from her mother and father and hasn’t seen them since. She didn’t really talk about it because she didn’t want any amount of pity on her part, and because it wasn’t a big deal in retrospect to the fact that almost everyone here had lost family either during the World War, or since moving to Panacea. And on top of that, no one had asked. She had decided long ago that she wouldn’t lie about it, to belittle it to nothing (because it was something) should someone ask, but it seemed every time she pulled that small photo of her old life back on Earth, she was always alone. And Stella preferred seclusion when she was feeling pensive.
Tapping a wrench to her chin in thought, she shook her head of the melancholy images floating around her brain in favor of the schematics of the plane she had all but hand copied in that head of hers. She was dedicated to her position, but sometimes she didn’t know how she felt about the whole war. After all, the humans did invade the Phantom planet, but she needed somewhere to live to so it was all so confusing. Normally, she just stuck her nose in the engine of the viper and minded her own business. Things works for Stella that way.
Quick question: How would the Pelians not on the Human ship interact with the Humans? Or do they not?
No Peleians are on a ship; currently the humans are grounded and camped out in a section of Panacea! Beyond that, it depends on the individual character. Generally, the Peleians are a peaceful people, and much of how they would interact with people can be told from what faction they support.
For instance, those involved in the New Dawn faction generally seek to eradicate the humans. They would be rough, pompous, callous, even violent - it depends on your character’s individual temperament. Those siding with Children of Centauri might be wary, but more open to communication.
A good characterization exercise would be to sit down and figure out how your muse views the opposite race!
Would it be possible to apply for a reserved character? Or do you discourage that? And would it be possible to reserve a reserved character, incase you don't finish the app by the time the first person sends theirs?
It's absolutely possible and not at all discouraged! Reserved does not mean the role is in any way taken. And yes again! You may put a 24 hour hold on said character if it goes beyond the current hold's time period.
Hi there, it's Taylor who reserved the Emilia Clarke FC. Is there a way to extend the reserve? I've had a mini emergency and haven't had time to finish the app.
Another 24 hours has been added to your reserve! We completely understand unforeseeable emergencies; if you wish to talk and compromise on this further, please come off anon. Hopefully you're doing alright, we send our love! <3
What's the difference between a skeleton character and a canon character?
A canon character is one prewritten by the admins, and published with a full, unalterable history. These characters are released to ensure a certain plot structure is maintained and kept throughout the game. A skeleton character differs in that the background/history is left up to applicants! Other than basic information and the occasional note, they are open to any manner of interpretations. Should someone leave/drop a role, the structure they created for the character will be erased, anyone who wishes to play them in the future could give them an entirely different scope!
Other than their creation, both are similar, and all are important! :)
