DAITEN HAD BEEN TOLD HER EYES WERE A STORM IN WAITING; how grey they were, how people would look to her and expect her to be okay in the harshest of times && to raise her own brother. she hadn’t taken it seriously. not until thunder cracked with each sob, rain pouring down reddened cheeks. her hands pulled inwards closer to her chest, trying to close something that had opened —— hajime had no place there but it was her innocence that was lost. not now, but years &&. years before when fists raised had raised at her for even the smallest offenses.
and perhaps lust was right. perhaps underneath the grief of standing in a puddle of her families blood there was relief. but such was no time for that now. not with the homunculi breathing down her neck, expecting everything from her all while holding everything from her reach. “ okay, “ she follows the order without hesitation believing without a doubt that lust was the only one who truly cared about her.
SUCH A PERFECT SPECIMEN. Used, given power onto bruised knuckles and told to act on it --- Humans were such predictable creatures, always attempting to climb out of the hole they were born in; Losing & falling deeper into the cervase of their sins. Poor thing, weeping & mourning a life that never took hers to value. Would she realize that her woes meant nothing to a monster like her?
No, perhaps she already knew.
--- “Don’t be so upset, dear.” Comfort, or was it Lust simply rubbing salt into the wound---? Only she knew. “You did it for a good cause. You could not live in such conditions anymore, you needed to break free of your chains eventually. Did you expect shattering them would be painless?” A grin, watching as she rose only to motion to the remains of her father on the floor. “To live is to survive in a world set to destroy you. I have given you a chance to fight back. Don’t disappoint me.”

BENEATH THE ROSE PETALS lies a world in which humans bat a blind eye to. Naive hive minds only paying attention to the REAL WORLD when it mattered most to them. The long existing threat of ghouls was something they chose to ignore, no matter how high of a chance of being a victim they are. It’s not their job to worry, it’s the CCG’s job to rid the city of the creatures that haunt the streets. But of course, to Itori, there was a beauty to being a m o n s t e r, the aesthetic of being covered in blood with the one she loves was quite pleasing to her mind. ❝ Business? It’s gotta be important then… ❞ She pauses, putting down the white cloth and beer mug she was cleaning off. ❝ …staying out late in this place isn’t ideal with what happens after dark. ❞

She hums softly at the notion of someone [ or something ] appearing before Lust merely chuckled. “You make it sound like there are monsters waiting outside your door. I know something is occurring in this town, I’m just not sure what yet.”

— “DID YOU EXPECT something different, lieutenant?” No, life as long & joyous as hers, filled with the marcarbae & murder of countless humans could never be forgotten. However, Lust is not one to repent, nor to regret. Humans were, simply put, the sheep and homunculi the blade to their feeble throat — & does a blade quiver when slitting a throat wide open?
Only when the wielder trembles.
But, Father did not, never did. So, as she stands before the apple of her eye, Lust could only spare a glance before narrowing eyes onto the waste of space, but such a pretty toy to play with.

“…” Boring. Simply boring. His personal vendetta against the world never did matter to Lust. The destruction of all was simply out of instinct, out of sheer boredom. His holy symbol etched into the stone simply caused her to blink, recalling how fire felt when burnt alive multiple times. Ah, such nostalgia in such a tedious moment. Tossing back black hair, Lust raised a hand toward the symbol before speaking.

Cherry red orbs looked upon the older woman; though his expression stayed bored and dull. She was not human, the young emperor did not need much to see, for her soul was that of an amalgamation of monstrosities. Yet, he would say no more about that. For she, already knew.
No, he was far more interested on why she was here before him. His “advisors” so to speak, would never allow his majesty to speak to those lacking pure Quincy blood, let alone a woman such as she. But they knew nothing; only the Almighty would know.

His brows tightened, thinking of those who used his people as selfish needs, even taking his father, as the means for their greed. He let out a huff, stepping off of his magnificent throne to walk closer to Lust, head tilting.

It appeared this area was full of entities I have never had the pleasure of meeting.” For once, the truth appeared from painted lips, blossoming into bored tone as she stands before the child. He seemed... familiar but she would not put her mind heavier into the thought as she looked on to him with slight annoyance to his arrogant tone.
He reminded her of Pride, but she kept that to herself. “Subject? Afraid not. I am not even familiar with what a Squad Zero is, truth be told.” However, to explain her past and how she was created was troublesome, so she would avoid bringing that up to him at the moment.
“You have no patience, do you? I am a homunculus. My name is Lust.”
Simple, to keep it plain and boring in hopes he would do the same and leave it at that. Though, he seemed to have knowledge of the world and what it had to offer.
