Some of my Hercules fanart to get started. “I’m a damsel, I’m in distress, I can handle this. Have a nice day~” The sass.
HOLY SHIT GUUUUURL
I don’t think we take enough time to appreciate the periods in our life when our noses aren’t runny. Is your nose runny right now? No? Think about that. Honestly reflect on it. Enjoy this era of peace. There are dark times on the horizon
In the 1960s, a psychologist named Harry Harlow conducted a series of experiments on rhesus monkeys. Today, psychologists and the general public view his experiments with disgust regarding their extreme breach of ethical boundaries. In his experiments, Harlow studied maternal separation and social isolation by separating baby rhesus monkeys from their mothers, and later by raising them in total isolation and partial isolation.
In the partial isolation group, the babies were taken from their mothers and placed in bare wire cages. They could see, smell, and hear the other babies, but could not touch them. And their mothers were nowhere to be seen. In the total isolation group, the babies were raised in isolation chambers with zero contact with the outside world. And their mothers were nowhere to be seen. In both conditions, the rhesus monkey babies, when let back into contact with the world, were in a state of severe emotional shock. Many of them refused to eat. Many of them were sick. Several of them died.
All of this is to say, what we now consider to be a highly unethical and immoral chapter in the history of psychology is now being carried out on human subjects - immigrant children.
What we consider unethical when it comes to monkeys, we consider just fine when it comes to human children.
do you ever tire of how, like, dramatic anxiety is?? it’s like. bitch. bitch. it’s not that serious. we’ll live. it’ll probably be a pain in the ass, but we’ll live. so stop making me feel like i’m actively dying.

“I am tired. I would like to be a mountain, a tree, a stone.”
— Susan Sontag, from I, etcetera: Stories
Stop thinking about everything so much, you’re breaking your own heart.
I have decided on a new constellation. I call it The Bees. If you look up at the night sky and see all those sparkly dots, congratulations. You see The Bees. I have just made astrology 10000x easier, you’re welcome.
