Edna turned and sighed at the energetic sounding boy. Wondering if she really wanted to continue talking to him or not, but ultimately it couldn’t hurt right? She decided to humor him. “ So your a mage?” She looked him up and down before speaking again.
“You certainly don’t look like one.” Very blunt. But of course this was just her way of saying “You’re pretty small, you must be weak.”
Hey, hey…why was the stranger sighing as if in exasperation? It was her idea to start talking to him, so that was kind of rude. Despite that, his parents had told him to be a polite noble, so when he was asked if he was a mage, he nodded.
Though when she said he certainly didn’t look like one, he caught the hidden meaning of ‘oh, you’re a small mage, so you must be weak’ very quickly, due to the fact people in Yilesse said that all the time. “Hey! Don’t look down on me!! That’s rude… For your information, I’m a very strong wind mage! At least, I would be if those blue-skinned mages hadn’t sealed my powers. They probably sealed all your powers too, though…”
He frowned, showing obvious dislike for being looked down on, but despite his irritation, he still managed to be polite. Though he made a very valid point at the end.
Had they “sealed” her powers too? They couldn’t have, she wasn’t even human. To test this she slammed her foot on the ground, but only a few pebbles went flying. “... tch” Edna looked to the side before looking back at the boy.
“ Well whatever, your name?” another blunt question, but she might as well make some sort of connections here.
