Different name, same feeling.

Today I changed my last name, a sort of final "fuck you" to my dad and grandpa, and an effort to put myself closer to my actual family.  At first I was elated, it felt like closure.  Now that that's passed, though, I'm noticing the incredible amount of anger I still have towards my grandpa. It frightens me, and saddens me, and keeps on pulling my back to a time when I was just a scared, confused little girl.  I don't know what will quiet these feelings.  I think I secretly hoped throwing away their name would also delete their memory.
