as someone who plays both gw2 and ffxiv I can't imagine describing shadow of the mad king to someone who plays xiv only. halloween in xiv is like here's a silly little sidequest that gives you some glam armor or a minion, maybe an emote if we're feeling like mixing it up this year. and then gw2's like here's a maze that we run around for hours on end killing the same mobs over and over to get trick or treat bags and candy corn. these are some of the best items for flipping on the market for profit and you can make hundreds of gold in a handful of hours. every so often everyone in the maze stops to kill a skeleton with a chainsaw the players have named steve. it's considered good etiquette to be under-geared so enemies die slower and everyone gets a chance to tag for loot. here's a jumping puzzle that only takes a couple minutes to complete but even veteran players struggle with it. in lore halloween started because a human king went insane and killed his family and then was executed by his subjects. he is now a minor deity and comes to the mortal realm to play simon says. his greatest adversary is a flamboyant zombie dictator that you killed years ago but the king's minions created a fake version of him because the king was depressed.

Honestly, I never expected something like -that- to be the first entry on this tumblr. But RP-talk with GW2-Friends is so much fun, I just couldn’t help it but draw Gonrhyns and my character plus their baby that has no name yet.

Lairen and Lukka seem to have different opinions on how to raise a baby. While Lairen thinks the idea of a Fahrar seems to be quite fitting, Lukka says a golem would be as good as any other person and introduces the Baby-Sitotron Alpha II to his wife. Lairen’s question about the Alpha I is a legitimate one, though - she knows that Lukka is not the best engineer and the destiny of Alpha I was not so lucky.

Lairen fand die Idee der Charr, die ihre Kätzchen im Fahrar aufziehen lassen, ja sehr ansprechend, Lukka war allerdings der Ansicht, dass auch ein Golem ausreicht, um auf das Kind aufzupassen. Und mit dem überlegenen Intellekt eines Asura ist es doch ein Leichtes, so einen Aufpassergolem zu bauen, oder nicht? Wie praktikabel Alpha II ist, muss sich erst noch beweisen, Alpha I hatte die Testphase jedenfalls nicht überstanden. Lairen weiß allerdings um die technischen Bastlerfähigkeiten ihres Gatten, der eigentlich Sprengmeister der Inquestur ist, und testet den Golem daher selbst, bevor sie das Kind eventuell hochexplosiver Gefahren aussetzt. _________________________________________________________ Lairen Lay - Charakter einer RP-Freundin Lukka - mein eigener Asura Beide sind Forscher der Inquestur und teilen sich ein Labor. Während Lairen an Biowaffen arbeitet, ist Lukka für die Arbeit an Sprengwaffen verantwortlich. Hoffen wir einfach, dass das Kind nicht beide Fachgebiete seiner Eltern später kombiniert…

MY FIRST SHORT COMIC STRIP

What else could say "I love you" better than handing your idiot-husband an eye-shield to check on him every now and then to make sure he's still alive and not rotting somewhere in the middle of nowhere~

"Idiot-Husband" is something I've been having ideas for for years now - to be precise since the release of Heart of Thorns - but never dared to nail down any of them 'cause I thought I wasn't good enough.

And I'm still not good at it - but I don't care so much about my skill anymore.

Lukka (my holosmith) and Lairen (@gonrhyn 's ranger and owner of Wastebin - a reef dragon brood mother) are the perfect couple - they argue about everything, insult each others inventions and hate sharing a laboratory. Yet you better not dare to cast aspersions on any of them or you'll feel the wrath of the inquest's new leader or his wife and head researcher for biochemical weapons.

Should I ever be in the mood for it I might screentone everything or even color the whole thing.

⭐Happy Wintersday 2023⭐

Had the honor of working on the annual advent calendar for gw2community.de and also contributed a poem with 24 verses - one for each day.

This watercolor piece is my biggest one yet - I never worked on A3 before and had to pratice painting winter scenes in advance to prepare for it. My first attempts were horrible lol But this one turned out nice enough.

The painting features my character Avendy, who's also the protagonist of the poem along with her raptor Mort and a quaggan girl.

My commander during the final instance of the latest expansion - tried to keep it spoiler free. Won't pursue this idea though for it doesn't reflect my initial idea well enough, so stay tuned for another attempt.
