Weird candle light bug happening to me and my brother? (Switch and iOS versions respectively)

For the past few weeks , candle light/wax in some areas is invisible (most likely to happen at sanctuary island, especially during geyser) and I just sorta have to guess where it is.. Has anyone else had this bug? Will it ever be fixed? I haven't found anyone else having it aside from us so I'm a bit worried it won't be patched, or at least not anytime soon. T_T

Has anyone else noticed an increase in mean/toxic players lately? This is probably the third day in a row I've been bothered by strangers while just trying to do geyser/granny. Someone at granny kept using the butterfly glitch to carry people away and when I (understandably) didn't wanna light their candle , they chased me and cornered me..? I mind my own business and try to keep to myself in this game, but lately strangers have gone out of their way to bother me. It's made my overall experience lately very unenjoyable, especially when I'm just trying to hurry through daily stuff while I do other things.
