working out while watchin backrooms is definitely an experience
tonight is second ab night. i've been developing a lot of upper abs but i gotta start focusing on my lower abs too. i wanna be so toneddd
i'm like 95% positive i was feeling depressed and lethargic and all bedridden because i hadn't worked out properly in a week. kinda stupid how working out actually does help
i've worked out like pretty much a full fitness routine tn, i didn't do like the pushups i usually do but i did everything else and it's an abs/obliques day so i did a lot of ab targeted workouts.
and i genuinely feel so much better than i did yesterday and the days prior. i did light workouts on those days which also did help but it didn't help as much as this did.
guys if you are depressed and struggling you should try to workout even if it's difficult at first. start off with small things. watch movies or tv shows while working out. work out at home and tailor everything to whatever works for you. do it all sitting down, do the stretches you learned in middle school gym class, idk whatever works for you. you could get into yoga for all i fuckin care or even just take a walk around your neighborhood everyday. but you should try to be active.
as someone who has been depressed pretty much my entire life, it works. trust me. i'm almost 30, was diagnosed with major depressive disorder years ago because i've been depressed since i was 10 years old and have had.... 11 psychiatric hospitalizations for suicide attempts or suicidal ideation. i am not as depressed now, or at least i don't feel depressed anymore but just struggle with some sad days here and there. i had done a lot of internal work but was still struggling in some ways and apparently working out is giving me the happy chemicals i was needing

so when i was chubbier, i was like 180 consistently. last time i weighed myself i was around 160-ish and that was because i had lost some weight. well, ive lost more fat and gained more muscle and im close to 180 again but purely from muscle gain
that is one of the biggest confidence boosts for me because i've actively been trying to lose fat and gain muscle and this has been the biggest motivation to continue working out that i've ever had
