Parenthood is natural stage designed to accommodate a few, a group of humans who decided to be responsible for the birth, upkeep and growth of others. _ Fatherhood on the other hand is a call to leadership, a clarion demand to lead from behind, with suffrage, strains, pains, gains and above all, with concerned and blessed people you can refer to as family. _ Today, I decided to open the gifts my daughters came home with from their daycare centre. The gifts were handed to me with an instruction "OPEN AT HOME". _ I opened the gifts this morning and behold, they were handcrafted paintings of my daughters to me. My daughters were pictured making paintings for me as gifts to their father for the #FATHERSDAY celebration in Finland. _ The amount of joyousness that enveloped when I saw these pictures eclipsed all the pains/sacrifices I have had taking care of them during my #FathersLeave which ended last week. _ I am prouder today as a father than any other day. Today, I peeped into a future of endless opportunities for my daughters and the creations that will come from the works of their hands. _ I utilised this medium to encourage all fathers out there to stay resolute and involved in their children's lives. On a day like today, humanity kneels to celebrate the colossal nature and wealth of knowledge surrounding motherhood. It isn't just about their ability to reproduce but the cycle of mothering life itself. . Motherhood is the only pipeline that reproduces, refreshes and restarts life as humans know it. This burden of recycling and restarting humanity through child birth, care and nurture into adulthood is ladened on women. . I join all humans to celebrate three mothers who have taught, shown and exemplified to me what #Motherhood truly means. . The woman with blue scarf gave birth to me, cared for me and nurtured me into adulthood. She made sure I was independent enough before handing me over to the lady with the white gown. . The lady with the white gown took an independent man and converted him into a husband. In fact, she made me a father. She showed me those motherly features I didn't see when my mother was nurturing me as a child. . The lady on my right is my mother-in-law. A fortress in her home and mother like no other. She has taught me how to accept in motherly ways, other women who aren't my biological mother. . I am truly blessed to have three mothers. I feel awesome to experience motherhood from three different perspectives. It is no coincidence that in my daughters, I see shades of knowledge, bliss, completion and fulfilment of these three mothers. . On this occasion, I say thank you to you three mothers. May you all reap the rewards and bountiful blessings of your labours. May the joys of your children be sources of strengths, hope and fulfilment. At your times of loneliness, may heavenly guidance and angels be your closest buddies. You all shall be celebrated. The celebration of your children shall enormously project your celebrations. . For aspiring mothers, motherhood is a good thing. Embrace it and find fulfilment! For those women who care for others' children and those unable to have theirs biologically, the angels of children shall fill you with motherly joys, experiences and share with you the fulfilment of motherhood. .
