"Yes, it's blue, I know that it's blue, so you don't have to tell me. No, it wasn't on purpose, and yes, I am trying to figure out how to fix it."
"Well.... I... It's impressive at the very least." Ezra offered up after a moment as he looked at the woman. She reminded him vaguely of one of those troll dolls he'd seen people have a craze for way back when he was younger. "You seem like the type to make a statement though so I'm sure you'll make it work."
"Take this one on the house. It seems to me like you need it right now." He could be wrong of course, but Ezra had been there before. He could see the signs usually of when it was more than just for the sake of a night out.
@samdelgados
"I just know how important she is to you. I want her to feel welcomed by the other people in your life like myself too," Cyrus replied, wanting Ezra to know the invitation was absolutely serious and something he'd love to follow up on. "Well this is another case of... I know how important Apollo is to you. It's a big responsibility. I don't take your trust in me for this lightly is all," he explained, not necessarily questioning Ezra's trust, just more so surprised by the degree of it.
"Well I doubt she could feel any other type of way with you around Cy." Ezra spoke with warmth in his voice because he really was a gem of a person. He didn't know anyone with so much heart. "Apollo adores you so I'm fairly certain I don't need to worry about his wellbeing in your hands."
"That is the correct response, Monsieur Broadmoor," Chloé smirked in reply, laughter escaping her lips as left kisses upon her neck. She rested against him a moment longer, basking in their proximity and the comfort in being so mundane with him, before eventually getting up to take his hands and pull him up. "You're really okay? I hope you didn't hit the ground too hard."
"Glad to know that if that was a test, I passed it." He grinned, finding himself doing it more and more with every day he spent around the blonde. Instinctively, Ezra's arms held her tightly and his hands rubbed her back in a light, tender motion. "I'm good though, to do this with you is worth an injury though."
"It'll always be boss," Tucker stated with a humored chuckle. "You know I enjoy it," he insisted warmly when Ezra pointed out that he had been working his ass off lately. "But thanks again, really. Things like this mean more than you know."
"I suppose if I'm looking at the positive side of that, it means you have no intentions of leaving my place." Ezra mused when Tucker said it would always be boss. "But you really don't need to be so formal with me." He added a moment later. "I know you enjoy it. It's why the customers take to you so much. That energy is a magnet."
"We could dip in and ask any of these stores if they have any spare boxes or crates from recent shipments? I know a lot of things are coming in right now," Bekah considered. "Or I can apparate to my work, we've got plenty of boxes and crates there. I'm sure I can find one or two to spare."
"I'll allow myself to be in the hands of your superior knowledge here. It seems like you might have been in this situation before." Ezra laughed when she gave multiple options for him to choose.
"Well, I am ever the optimist so yes, I am happy with my life. I get to do the thing I love most in the world, I'm healthy. My family are all happy, as far as I know," Alastair shrugged. He still missed Peggy a lot but he was working on that one, "What about you?"
"I think that is all we can ever really ask for." Not everyone got so lucky. He had for a time and he had experienced first hand how hard it was when the things you loved were taken away. "Life has... turned out better than I thought it would." It wasn't perfect but he had a lot to be grateful for.
"I appreciate the trust you're putting in me, chief," Tucker gave the other a salute and a smile. It meant a lot more than he would literally ever be able to put into words. So he just planned to make sure he communicated as best as he could through his actions, wanting to ensure to Ezra that he wasn't making a mistake. "And I plan to make sure you don't regret a second of it. I just hope you and the missus enjoy your time away."
"You're a good kid. I don't think that trust is misplaced so I'm safe in relaxing whilst we're away I'm sure of it." The thing he would probably end up checking up on was his dog, but that wasn't because he didn't trust Cyrus to take care of him but simply because he'd miss his shadow following him around everywhere.
"I love it. Really," Cyrus' appreciation radiating through his tone. His expression softened at Ezra. "Hey I uh– sorry about the Gossip Witches thing. That... that couldn't have been easy," he said softly. "Are you doing okay with all of that? Both mentally and physically?"
There was no way that Ezra would have doubted the man in the first place but he could hear how much had meant through the others tone. When he brought up the Gossip Witches, Ezra wasn't expecting it and he did shift a little uncomfortably at the mention but it seemed he wasn't going to try and avoid the conversation at the very least. "It's a choice I made. There was always a chance it would come out so the fault is entirely on me."
"I appreciate you coming to me with this," she said softly. While she didn't love that it seemed to take a threat from the Gossip Witches to give him that initial push, it was better he came clean instead of continuing to hide it. Or let her find out from the anonymously-led rumor mill like he'd said. Chloé could still feel her body being all tensed up as they finally walked out, unable to shake images of what she'd witnessed. Not quite yet. "Are you still doing this?" Chloé finally turned and asked him once they were about a block away from the venue. "Ezra... please don't. You could injure yourself so much more," normally the woman was so composed, but her voice came out choked and frail. "It's so dangerous."
Before he'd even had the opportunity to answer the question that Chloe had asked him, she had followed it up with a request that he couldn't help but feel was more of a demand than anything. He knew that wasn't the way it was but that slight stubborn streak he'd always held reared its head and made him stiffen somewhat. And then he registered the tone, and he forced himself not to jump the gun on his response. "I do. Flying is in my blood, as is competing. I'm not sure if that's something I'll ever be able to completely give up." He gave her honestly in return.
"Woah, boss, this is really nice," Tucker replied, regarding both the thought and the actual brand of bottle in hand. "Thank you. Really. But not just for this, as nice as it is," he felt the need to say to Ezra. "Thanks for trusting me. Even in ways you may not realize mean a lot to me. I really appreciate you, boss."
"Still boss, huh?" Ezra spoke with a gruff laugh at the others words. "Don't worry about it though. Any of it. I only give you what you deserve. You're a good kid." He stated warmly, giving the others shoulder a pat. He was pretty sure that should his parents have had another child, they they would have been something like Tucker. "And you deserve to have a good time tonight, you've been working your ass off."
"That is really sweet, Ezra. I appreciate this," he smiled, looking down at the keychain in his hand. Whether it was truly lucky or not, it was sweet that Ezra had thought to give it to him. "You too it seems," Cyrus said supportively. "But there's also nothing wrong with having a little extra luck just in case, right?"
"I thought it might be something you'd like." Cyrus had always been sentimental about things so now when Ezra was reminded of him in things, he didn't think twice about purchasing them for the man. "Oh, I have been very lucky with how my years gone. Especially given more recent events. Chloe had been far more considerate of him than he probably deserved. "But you're right. You can't have too much luck."

"I'm actually glad I ran into you. I came across these on a stall and I wanted to give one to you. I know it's probably overpriced rubbish but they are supposed to be good luck for the new year." Ezra explained as he passed the man a lucky charm on a keyring. "Not that you necessarily need the luck, it seems like you've had a good year without my attempts to try and ensure it."

"I have something for you." Ezra told the younger male as he held out a bottle for the man. "It's not just one you are going to get here before you make that comment and smart talk your boss." Ezra laughed. "I thought what better way to celebrate today and you needed something to celebrate with. Consider it a little bit of a bonus for your help over the festive period."
