I’m a long time MCR fan (since pre-breakup) but the new tour has an extra special place in my heart with the lore and new art design. I’ve never been a part of the band fandom before but they are all I can think about these days so this blog is my place to reblog, analyze, create stuff, generally be feral, and make friends. I make art (my main art blog is @kavaleyre) and write. I love breaking down lore and imagery, talking about old album and tour stuff, and I’m pretty open to any ships (though frerard changed my life in high school lol). I went to MCR Seattle and MCRNJ, and will be at MCR London night 3 :D

thinking again about mcr’s wwwy performance… there is something so brilliant to return and just have plain black outfits and a white backdrop. it feels like them just totally rejecting nostalgia culture and putting to bed any notion of trying to “return to the good old days”, and just letting the music speak for itself in a really raw and honest way. it’s like them, post-reunion, coming with their hands outstretched and saying “we’re happy now, and we want to share this again with you”. I feel like that was the only way to lay the groundwork for what the reunion meant to them, and to them later do something like the Long Live The Black Parade tour with clear artistic intention.
