Weirdly hesitant to send this because I’m not sure if it’s welcome, but I’ve been active duty for eight years now and just wanted to say that you portray the military characters you RP across multiple blogs extremely well. I’m genuinely impressed in more ways than one by how much clear research you’ve done (on military mental health, military dynamics/structure/protocol, etc.) and how you’ve utilized it tactfully and accurately in your writings, headcanons, etc. You're very talented. 🖤

but ! i appreciate this so much, it's absolutely welcome. as someone who grew up in a military household, who ended up with a lot of military friends in young adult / adulthood, getting as close as i can to accuracy is so important to me. media outlets, big and small, often portray the military in such blanket / generalized ways, and mental health is often overlooked or stereotyped in that same regard - without even realizing it, it became a personal goal to ensure i did what i could to do even some semblance of right by the people who have lived / live that life in my life, even if they'll never know about my blogs + roleplay lmao. so truly, thank you so much !
