the pedro matos hire and him getting his mental health coach to be more present this year is such a great example of why oscar improves so much year to year. he identifies weaknesses and finds specific ways to improve them. he said the monza decision among other things were part of what led to the baku disaster. so he’ll get his sports psych coach to be on track this year so he can get more immediate support when stuff like that happens. he had trouble understanding why the car wasn’t performing the way he was used to during the americas stretch of the calendar. so he got someone with technical knowledge to help with data analysis. he’s not hesitant about admitting where he might need to improve and he’s not hesitant in making the changes when he needs to.

I’m sorry, but if it’s possible to build the engines so they’re able to deal with the current start procedure, and the other teams just chose not to do so, it would be insane to change that now. This is supposed to be a sport based on innovation. It’s not like it’s something completely impossible to do if Ferrari was able to do it
