Ngl I was so stressed when WWII happened in the story and when Kit was being all emo and stuff that I had to skip through the finale because I was like "Will they ever end up together? 😰" and even when I found out I was still tense.
Like the whole time everything was grey I was stressin'. I never thought I would be fussing about some white boy (don't take it so seriously, I meant it affectionately) but here I was replaying the scene all over and over again when Lili met Kit again. It was like I held a breath I didn't know I was breathing.
I couldn't bring myself to completely relax when everything was still grey. I felt incredible pain when he gave out a pained smile when he found out that Shin and her were getting married. And turns out he in his entire destitution worked enough so he can get tickets to bring Lili back to England? Oooof the stress!!
It was relatable and refreshing when Lili went back to painting. That was really what made me relax again and it got me thinking a lot about art and what it means to me. I know that I would least likely pursue a traditional art dream given the state of the Philippine art industry but it makes me feel that I can somehow do it one day.
And I'm really glad that Shin was also able to pursue what he really wanted and that was to go to Italy and sculpt. I think it was really creative how they use that grey to symbolize what it means to lose one's passion and to not be your true self. And the first hints of that was Kit's hair and eyes since he was Lili's inspiration to pursue art (the fact both she and Shin started doing art again because of him) but ultimately it was when they picked their paintbrush and chisel respectively did the world truly returned to color.
