Dear Past, goodbye and good riddance 😊

Thursday, February 28, 2018. Sir Francis just removed a big thorn in our hearts which is our deepest, darket secrets and hatred from the past. Before liting up these papers, we prayed individually to prepare ourselves in letting go of whatever we had written in our paper. It was really a good opportunity for us to move on from whatever caused us pain, it was a signal for us to start a new chapter in our lives forgiving everyone, everything and even our selves from all the mistakes. Everything written there is burned along with these paper and cannot affect our present and future. A big thanks to Sir Francis for this activity, we all needed this.

Helloooooo! 

Last February 28, 2018 Sir Francis are waiting for us at the Computer Lab. As we went there we felt nervous about the performance task that he told us to be ready but when we started, it is just a game but the twist is our scores affect our grade and even negative scores huhu yet we had so much fun with it.

It is sad to think that this is our last day to enter the comp lab with sir Francis :(

Fourth Group Meeting for Empowerment Technology Final Performance Tasks

It is sad to actually think of stepping in the computer laboratory with your blockmates and with sir Francis for the last time. I felt unhappy but that was quickly brushed off when we had an activity from flipquiz which turned our nervousness for whatever the pt may be to an overwhelming joy. Afterwards, there was a quick individual activity from kahoot which I became a 3rd placer without expecting.

By that simple activity, we forgot our school issues for an instance. Kudos to sir Francis for letting us be ourselves. ♥

Third Group Meeting for Empowerment Technology Final Performance Tasks

Monday, February 26, 2018. We met with our group, sir Francis was around but he let us do whatever we want with our group. As a group that’s sleepy and tired with the pts and all, we have decided to de-stress by playing “pass the message”, but later on we have realized that there’s a whole lot of work waiting for us to get done so we turned our focus back on the financial literacy advocacy.

Second Group Meeting for Empowerment Technology Final Performance Tasks

Thursday, February 22, 2018, in the Empowerment Technology period, sir Francis is not around however, he left us with a groupwork which is to research on the 21st Century skills as well as the different blogs and website creators. Before his first period ended he entered the class room and conducted a group consultation regarding on our performance task.

All in all, this day is such a productive day since we have used it wisely and efficiently.

Today was the second day of our group activity in Empowerment Technology. Sir Francis gave us a task to  make as a group. The task was about the 21st Century Skills. I am glad that I was obliged to write the draft for our output since I was not able to help them during the first activity because I was participating in the retreat.

Day 2- Today we continued discussing the problem for finals. Sir Francis was not around because he was chosen as a panel for the other section. So we did what we have to do. Each of the groupings form a circle and discussed what they’re going to do.

Our group searched for a website maker. We compared which website maker is more suitable and easy to use. Then Sir Francis came back for a group consultation. Our group was the first. Sir Francis asked us how to encourage the people to listen to our solution for our group problem.

#FirstMeetingForFinals

Hello there! This faces here are my group mates in our subject Empowerment Technology, say Hi to them! :) 

At that time, we were planning on what to do on the task the our teacher has given to us. Sir Francis, our teacher, instructed us on what to do and he guide us on our ideas. He gave us the topic about “ FINANCIAL LITERACY ADVOCACIES”.

This day was definitely so fun because we did brainstorming and we came up with an unique problems and we also have bond with each other like we chika-chika about our life. (Cute laugh)

Goodluck to us guyses! :) We can do this! LABAN LANG TA MGA DZAI NOH?

February 19, 2018 at exactly 1:00 in the afternoon, say hi to my groupmates. So, luckily we already picked our topic in which we should make an awareness about it and our planned action. Fortunately, it is one of the rampant cases that we had, and continually remained unsolved. “Earth-Friendly products”. As we gathered, we’ve determined the products which were made up of heavy chemicals, dyes and non-renewable energy making it hazardous not only to the earth but as well as for the living creatures in our earth.

Today is the first day that Sir Francis Calas our Empowerment Technology teacher introduce us the things we’re going to do this finals. The good news is that there will be no more quizzes, oral and exam. I was really relieved because there are already 2-3 subjects that doesn’t have final exam but they do have final Performance Task but those PT’s will not be easy of course. The bad news then is that it will certainly not going to be easy. I even imagine that in doing this final task I will soon be selling lots of eye bags and there will be bucket full of tears. Since this is by group, me and my group mates started already discussing about our topic. When we were done brainstorming we slowly started to write details of what are the possible problem related or can be found in our topic. When our period ended already it feels like I am already drained. I thought that at least I can now rest since it will be just more on research but it feels more like I am dying. I even keep on saying “why research is lifest?” But anyway since it’s already been decided then I guess all I can do now is pray for the guidance and knowledge bestowed by the Lord and of course to do my very best to make this a success. This will be the ultimate checklist for after succeeding in this I will be graduating with flying colors.

Day 1: February 19, 2018 MONDAY (Late post)

Yesterday, with our new group, Sir Francis introduced us the new system for our finals and yay! No more quizzes and written exam!! But still, aside from getting hooray, I felt nervous and thinking about the things that would happen on next meetings.

But anyway, yesterday, we discussed our topic and make some problem and solution out of it. We also talked about what would be the possible problem for our topic and we were kinda confused of what to do and what to put for our topic. But with the help of Sir Francis, he gave a little example about our topic that could help us in doing our paper. Thank you sir!!

At the end of the period, we took a selfie with a smile on it and hoping that this wont get fade till our last day of finals.

February 19, 2018 As of today, we did a plan on what would be our problem that is related to our topic. We have decided to choose the free downloading sites issues in order for the peoole especially the millennial to know the harm that they may have when they go to the free downloading sites. I felt a bit nervous about our topic because what if the owners of those sites will read our stand and what if they will take action towards it. On the other hand, I felt happy for by this, the people may be able to avoid the sites that they think are safe. Also, the anti-piracy will be promoted.

Day 1 (February 19, 2018) (Late post)

Yesterday, With our new group, Sir Francis instructed us the upcoming activities for EmpTech this finals in a short clip. He gave us notes so that we can prepare the things needed for finals. We were also asked to choose a topic out of the issues he had given us, furthermore he also told us to make a problem and solution out of it. 

All is well for day 1, and we hope that for the following days too :)).

Day 1 (february 19, 2018) (monday)

Today was the first day that sir Francis introduced to us the system that we are gonna do during the finals.

I am more than thankful because HOORAY no more quizzes and written exam.

BUT that doesn’t mean that our journey during the finals will be the most tiring that we are going to experience yet. Why? Because research everyday. RESEARCH IS LIFE. RESEARCH IS LIFER. RESEARCH IS LIFEST.

On our first day, we discussed our topic that we will need to work on the whole finals session. We assigned tasks to our group mates and worked on the first part of the paper.

So much of that for the first day. Anyways, whatever is coming towards us, I am greatly challenged because in here my abilities are about to be tested.

LET’S DO THIS EMPOWERMENT TECHNOLOGY, SECOND SEMESTER FINALS!
