i find it SO ironic how pav and kaiser are essentially parallels to one another,, two blond haired guys that use their pure will and charisma to claw their way to the top, just to fulfill some sort of goal and fail it. le'garde with him swaying people's views and gaining an army, then becoming a captain, and then pav, who most likely did somewhat the same to gain his role of lieutenant.
they both are also consumed by their goals, although theyre completely different in nature. literally AND metaphorically
le'garde's strive for godhood, a basically IMPOSSIBLE task for man, and pav's strive to kill the kaiser, a new god, also nearly impossible
and just how le'garde had slaughtered and killed to get to this goal, so had pav!!! hes killed people!!!!!! hes no better than ANY of the soldiers that burnt down his home in voroniya, but hes too consumed by his need for revenge to really gaf it seems.
in addition, neither of them really got what they wanted in the end. le'garde became a new god, with HALF the influence of that of the old gods, and pav never got to kill the kaiser.
i may be looking in too deep considering how pav is, purposely, a more shallow character when it comes to the rest of the cast, but its fun to try and delve deeper
